I got a vibe, new get it tmrw. Freak 18 or 16 inch barrel, and my friend is trying to say his regular ion is better, so please let me know what you think. His gun is all stock, no changes, no new barrel.

Barrel longer than 16 inches is pointless, 14 I find is a good length. I would reccomend a J&J ceramic or a CP one-piece rather than a freak kit for a first aftermarket barrel.

Tell your friend to have fun pinching wires and stripping banjo fittings when he's trying to do basic maintenance on his non-BOB Ion.

vibe all the way, same guts as the ion minus the eyes and it will work on co2

And, the low-force bolt works almost as well as eyes to prevent chops. The only other difference is boards, but I doubt a lot of vibe owners need tourney modes anyway.

And if you want, you can get a BH Vibe for $20 more than the XE that already has BH board, QEV, and Clamping feedneck, which are 3/4 of the most popular upgrades for the Ion XE.

i think i would go

BH vibe > Ion XE > vibe > throwing paintballs > ion

ion xe and vibe i see pretty close though
