Which PUMP!

Been looking at some pumps lately and Im thinking of buying one of the three:

The remake of the SL-68:
Tippmann SL-68 SL68 II Paintball Pump Marker Gun - Black: sl68-tippmann-pump Paintball Guns Store - Tippmann Spyder BT Empire Ion Paintball Guns

The Kaos pump Package:Azodin Pump Paintball Gun - Black

Check It Products V2 Sniper:
Check It Products V2 Classic Sniper Autococker Pump Gun - eBay (item 280404808728 end time Nov-01-09 13:43:48 PST)

Pros and Cons, Proformance and runs good on CO2. Why or Why Not?

You still have a potential 200+ paintballs to shoot, while stock class is limited to stickfeeds (10 or so paintballs)

If you're just getting into pump, it's just get whatever is cheapest. If you end up liking it, then buy the more expensive stuff

zomg I'm allllllll over this thread!!!

The azodin pump that i've seen/used was not that good. Its a spyder pump that is not made really well. This marker has less than a case through it and is already broken. If you have a pump the #1 thing is it has to be reliable!!! I say know to the azodin.

The tippmann is a classic and will be a beast. I love the old ones, i'm sure the new ones will be good as well. Not a bad buy.

The cocker (it is not an autococker haha) will have the best performace. The barrel is cocker meaning it'll have the most common barrels. It will also shoot really smooth and nice. I'd get this one first out of the threee you have listed.

But if you REALLY want to play pump, play it stock class. Phantom all the way. The cocker will be more or less like playing an inconvient semi-auto.

As a final note... Riddlers comment is the best advice of all.

I say SL68-II. A beast of a gun, and it's made by Tippmann (you know it's going to be reliable as crap).

Do all stock class have to rock and cock (really don't want one of those). Also every field don't approve of the 12 grams so do you have to those (12 grams).

I run a 3.5 oz on my phantom. The nifty thing about phantoms is that they can be configured to run a number of ways: Open class, stock class, 12gram, vert air, back bottle, bottom line, etc. There are so many ways you can run it there is always a way for you.

Under 300? All of them im pretty sure. To run the 3.5oz vertical, just get any thats labeled 'VSC' or 'Vert Air'. If you want to run it with a stcik feed (ten rounds), get VSC, to use a hopper, get Vert Air.

For under $300 you can get any phantom in standard color. Your not going to be able to afford a flashy acid wash or anything like that.

I personally have an undercocking kit on my phantom and I think its a great upgrade for them. I'm just not a fan of the pump handle around the barrel

Do I need kits to go from stock to vert air or 12gram to refill Co2 bottle? If so what kit do I need?

no you don't need a kit. You just need to take off the 12 gram changer and screw in the co2 bottle. Its really easy to switch air systems.

The harder/more expensive part is to switch from a feed tube (stock class) to a hopper. For this you will need to either have seperate bodies for the phantom or have a feed neck that can screw into the stockclass body.

the spyder "2 hole" style feedneck mounts directly to the SC body.

Alternately, some people make a feed block that mounts to the body and is threaded for a feedneck.

I have the Check-it V2 Sniper. Shoots amazing! I like the smooth pump stroke (Delrin handle) and the trigger is polished so its nice and light.
