Im starting to play more and Im thinking about investing in a better gun in the 250 to 350 range. My friend says hes getting a dangerous power f7 fusion and I think I want to upgrade to a gun in that range too. From research I found the proto and the invert mini as well as some ions. Im not sure which one to get but im pretty much looking for the gun being accurate and lightweight. I also really like the mini but Im not sure about how close together your hands are when you shoot if it is a problem.

Hold the Mini to see if you like it (buy the later version), the SLG UL isn't worth the money because it's really no difference than the basic SLG but I would save a tad bit more and buy a 09 PMR (400$).

Dangerous Power F8's can be had for less than the range you specified if you shop around and find a good deal
Sold markers if you want a poppet valve marker instead of a spool valve like the PMR

I couldnt really find the F8s under the price range and there all in brown which i dont know if i mind but there not that low compared to the Proto PMR or the mini so i think i might choose between those to and look around for a bit longer

So how are the mini and the PMR different in how they feel and how they shoot. I heard it does feel weird for the mini i think my local field has one that I could try at least walking the trigger on. I hear a lot of people dissed the mini but is that different now because it was changed a lot to the 09 version. I just want to get as many personal preferences as possible before I choose a gun.

PMR is a nice unbalanced spool valve
Smooth shot, ok trigger, light, GREAT stock reg

Mini is a pressure controlled poppet
Shot in between a spool and a poppet, good efficiency, strange trigger, VERY small, SUPER light

Eh, they both have their good and bad points

wait till the Dangerous Power G3 spec - r comes out at the end of october because this gun has the micro switch instead of optical board also has the ramp psp 3 shot
this gun is going to cost $450 new but sounds like a good gun to use

whats different about the 09 minis? i have yet to hear about this.

to be honest id go mini over PMR but not by much, PMR is a little high priced for a unbalanced spool, but they are great markers, also look into the vice if you can find it in your price range (that shouldnt be hard to do)

The minis havent really changed, maybe a v4 poppet?

i thought v4 poppet came out a while ago, i know theres been v4 for a while but not sure exactly when it started
