Whichever is cheaper. They're both good guns.

Question

The tippmann is 150 but why the sp1 over the tippmann with an act and an egrip?

it's smaller lighter, and more efficient.

Is the sp1 as reliable? And this gun would most likely be my winter gun. Does it work good in cold temps?

if your using co2 chances are you will have issues with either marker, but thats not going to be because of the marker.

i dont think it is even a contest, sp1 hands down, or better yet, vibe

So I was looking at the specs and the tippy come with act and the sp1 comes with the low force bolt. The tippy comes with the egrip and the sp1 with its electric board. So the specs are almost the same but I heard the sp1 does not work well with c02. Is this a myth?

It is plain false
The SP-1 was designed to use CO2

And if you use HPA on the SP1 during the winter, then you will be absolutely fine

that the thing about hpa. It is better in the winter but do I get more shots then co2 or more shots on a 3000 psi tank?

ok first of all the specs are nowhere near, the tippmanns used to be the most reliable, since 04 material standard have gone down and a lot more of them have issues they didnt used to (sears and power tubes are the two major things that have been wearing much faster than before) the tippmann is a inline blowback design, entry level nomatter if it has a e-frame or not, sp1/vibe is a unbalanced spool, mid level and requires a e-frame, theres no way you can have a unbalanced spool without an e-frame. tippmann is going to kick much more than the sp1/vibe and be much louder

now onto the co2 question, the sp1/vibe has a bleed off valve so that any liquid co2 that enters the reg is vented out instead of getting up into the workings of the marekr where it can cause major harm, it is designed to be CO2 safe, the only down side is while venting the marker can not fire. the simple fix to this if you have this problem is to have your local shop install a anti-siphon tube in your co2 tank (something thats going to be a good idea if you plan on running a co2 tank on the marker in cold weather regardless of the marker) they are generally about $20 and will about 95% of the time stop any liquid co2 from getting to the reg on the sp1/vibe so the marker will keep on shooting.

now dont start thinking the marker doesnt work on co2 because it is venting all the time, that is not the case, as to exactly how much this happens though, its kinda a case by case basis, iv talked to people who have never had it vent and iv talked to people who are running into it every game and need a AS tube

reguardless i still say vibe for the double trigger and SP1 a close second with the 98 not even finishing the race

edit: per volume you will get more shots out of co2 actually, but in cold weather it is much better to be running HPA sine it does not have to go from a liquid to a gas in the tank it does not cause any problems, if your going to go HPA i recomend a 4500 tank as long as you can get 4500 fills, if you can only get 3k fills theres no point
