g6r vs dm9
Would any of you trade a DM9 for a g6r? Or would you just kelp the DM? I have a DM and am looking to try and trade for another marker and a guy asked me if I wanted to trade. What year did the g6r come out and how readily are parts available?

Not me. But I prefer spools, so that's no surprise.
G6R came out in 2010 or 2011, don't really remember for sure which. The 2012 added OLED instead of LED board. Parts are easy to come by, since they're still manufactured.

I love my DM but its just that it is getting old and I'm dying to try a poppet out. Are g6r's pretty good markers?

IMO, absolute best multi-tube electropneumatic poppet still made.

G6R's are great, honestly.
Up there for the best poppit on the market imo.

I would trade. The DM9 is already 3 years old.

Depends on the year and quality of the marker, other wise, go for the trade!

I got another offer for my dm9, this time it's an ego 10 with zic 2 ram. It's a straight up trade. I was really looking for a g6r but I might consider this if you guys think it's a good deal.

meh. Not impressed with the Ego10. FANTASTIC...for Egos. Very...well, meh covers it perfectly when compared to a DM or a G6R.

What I was thinking is sell the DM, buy the ego and trade for a g6r.

IMO, only if you already have a trade set up for the Ego for a better marker. DM9 shoots too much nicer than the Ego for me to ever consider that anything but an incredible downgrade.

I don't have a trade set up already. But I was thinking I would just trade my DM and then either trade or sell the Ego for a G6R. Would it really be that hard to sell?
What's a decent asking price for an Ego 10?

I don't think I'm going to bother with the trade for the EGO 10. I GOT A $500 offer for my DM9 so I think I'm just going to take that and try and find a g6r.

Agreed. Personally, I'd take a DM over the others, but that's just me...

I love my DM, don't get me wrong. But I kind of want to try some other stuff out (poppets, other spoolies). The DM9 was my first gun so I was thinking of trying something new. Do you have any suggestions for markers that I could buy for around $800 or less?

G6R and hang on for the ride. It's absolutely the best marker being made right now and it's caused Planet Eclipse to stand scratching their heads on what to do about that. I'd suggest a low pressure poppit because that smoother shot is AMAZING>
