I am torn on what to get when I upgrade my marker. I can get an SP1, double trigger, blackheart board for a little over $200. Or I could get a used etek for about $300. I play woodsball and a little speedball, not usually with inflatables but set bunkers on a field. So I don't care about the milsim look I just want a good versatile gun. But I like the fact I can put an APEX2 on the SP1 for woodsball.

Just wondering how performance wise these markers will compare. Obviously the Etek is the better speedball marker but I dont play tournaments so I dont need high end performance. Mainly wanting to compare reliability and how much maintenance I need with both as well as how they compare shooting.

This is a big decision so any help is appreciated.

I've owned both the Etek will get you more cred with the kiddies but I really like the SP1 and with the Blackheart board its even better. It's a solid marker not too fussy and it can run on CO2 in a pinch. The Etek is a good marker too its a very proven design and excellent quality really you can't go wrong with either one it all comes down to your personal tastes.
