If i'm correct, the SLG is nothing a sear tripped spool valve marker.
The DM4, though old, will out perform the SLG. It may be hard to fond specific parts for it, and it's going to be heavier than an SLG

neither? neither of them is produced anymore, doesnt matter if you get either, if anything breaks you have a $XXX paperweight
nothing on a 48/3k will get through a case unless you are shooting around 100fps

nothing you do to ANY dye marker will get a 48/3000 tank anywhere near a case

DYE markers are not known for being good on air.
The bob long G6R, which came out in 2011, finally made it so that you can shoot a full case of paint off a 68/4500 tank...IF your marker is set up just right. I think that some macdev markers and the bob long supercharged marq can do about the same thing; besides those, you're not going ot get anywhere near a case on any marker.

i get pretty close to a case on a DM6, CF bolt with top hat, freak barrel kit and some lube+ oil mix. i wont say i get all the way but it is damn close. the etek i believe does even better but i have not put enough paint through that to get a real accurate feel for how much it is shooting off a full tank
however yes, the dm line has gotten better through the years, i highly doubt a dm4 is going to get that close nomatter what you do to it. and an SLG will not get that close either.
what is so important about shooting a full case?

oh ya. just have to make sure the tank is topped off. i think i did decrease my dwell slightly a while back but if i did it was not by much and honestly i think i have been paying for it in the consistency department. but i also rebuild the thing more regularly than most people so that may help as well.
the lube+oil really does wonders though, iv played in freezing temperatures and not had to touch anything and still no FSDO so that kind of tells you how easily my bolt moves

Yeah, once WELL broken in and tuned, Matrices can get pretty efficient. Been saying that for years. Sure, new with stock settings they're pretty bad, but once they break in and you tune them, they can be quite decent. While they'll never be able to beat out a properly tuned and broken in 4B Quest, but they're still good. First thing I said about the NT when everyone was jacking over the fact that it was a Dye that got better efficiency, sure new it does, but once they're both broken in, I haven't seen much improvement in the efficiency of the NT, and my Matrices got better efficiency than the NT.
