I love how the cocker owners need to throw massive upgrades on there to out shoot a mag. Also doesn’t that kind of take it out of comparison? Since the cocker is going to cost a heck of a lot more then.

it's all a matter if personal preference.
Things I like about mags:
-Weight
-Size(very compact)
-Smooth pulls (on most frmes, due to the sear setup)
-no external parts
Things I don't like about mags:
-Not much to personalize
-Not as accurate as cockers(the ones i've used compared to my cocker)
I just like the feel of a cocker... Idk, it's just personal stuff. there really isn't one critera that breaks the barrier between the two... it's just what one person likes better.

Mags rule, if I made more than $7 an hour, I'd buy one, they last forever.

Guess what? I own a cocker, and i am trading my cocker for a minimag. Minimags will own a cocker in weight any day.

mags happen to be the most personalized guns you will see. Look around, In all the years ive played i havent seen a mag that looked exactly like mine, you cant say the same for cockers.
As for the accurate part... . Hype hype hype. When will ppl realize that the line "cockers are more accurate than a mag" couldnt be farther from the truth. If both guns are shooting under consistant pressure with the same paint/barrel match, the cocker is not going to shoot better. Tom Kaye of AGD has proven that fact on more than one occasion.

mags roxxerz im gettin one in three days
cockers are ok but you have to pay out the butt to make them faster than a mag and even after that its only about 3bps faster ( i think)

Wow. Find out what you're talking about and then post again, because now you're just embarrassing yourself.
See the resemblance? No? Neither do I.
And if you try to call this mag cosmetically challenged, you are extremely stupid.

ok. the only way to properly compare the 2 markers, is at their base, stock levels.
Look at a stock 03 WGP Vert Feed autococker. (I just bought one and tested it)
-It's kinda pretty, but at least has anodizing and some milling.
-It has a hinge frame, on which I can do 8 bps (measure on one of those big red chrono.
-It's effency (i can't spell, don't yell at me) is not the best, but i get about 500 shots out of a 48/3k tank. Decent.
-The accuracy is not amazing, which can be blamed on the nasty un-ported barrel which allows a ton of air to leave the end of the barrel as the ball does, so it messes with the ball's flight trajectory. With a cheap new barrel (J+J Ceramic- $35), the extra exast down the barrel is gone, and the accuracy was much better. (not as good as with my freak )
-The weight is a big problem with cockers. It weighs somewhere around 2-3lbs. without paint, and between 4-5 with air, loader and paint. For a backman, this isn't a huge prob but for a front man(especially those like myself who are somewhat... height defficient) it's a little annoying. But, I got over it.
-The total lack of a drop forward stock is not a surprise at all, but with a 48 ci tank the balence sucks. The regulator on the tank makes it much longer, so without a drop it makes it a little awkward. Throw on a 32* Flame Drop w/ on/off and The balence is awsome. Maybe a Shocktech Stubby drop or Micro drop if you like.
Overall rating: 7/10.
Someone do the same for a stock mag!!

whoever says a cocker is faster then a mag is stupid. I shot my old cocker, then shot an x mag at a tourney, and i **** myself how much better and faster the mag was. Wow that mag was so sexy. cockers are the biggest, worst hype to hit the paintball scene in a while. There not as good as everyone says they are. And seriosuly, cockers backblocks are os annyoing its amazing. When i had mine i wanted to chop it off, thats how annoying it was.

#1Mags are so much more interesting, and if u ever notice, the people with mags are usually older, like in there twenties and up, because they have been in the sport a while and no whats better for waht. #2 Deadlywind trigger owns all. The same person shooting an ebalde at 16 bps will hit 16 on the deadly wind. AND GUESS WHAT, NO ELCTRONICS.
But i have to give cockers some credit, with over $1500 invested in them, they can be better then mags.
BTW, hasnt this argument been done before, like many times before.
