So I wanna start upgrading my gun...

OK... I have an Erex Elite and I wanna begin doing some upgrades to it. I know its a spyder clone so im wondering if i can put spyder upgrades on it. me and my friend we opened our guns (he has an aggressor) and we compared them and they are basically the same thing. all i know is that my gun can get a spyder barrel...

well, being a spyder clone....im sure it will use most spyder parts. but, if i were you i'd stick with upgrading the barrel, regulator, motorized hopper and getting hpa. those ups will transfer to your next marker (except the barrel), so they are indeed a wise investment. all the rest of the nods you can do have questionable results, and are really a waste of money on a spyder clone......take it from a dude with a $900 piranha..... (yes, i counted the hopper and hpa)

yes your gun is practically a spyder without the name kingman on it, so it should accept almost every single spyder upgrade on the market. I hav an e rex pro which is the higher end version of your e rex elite, although i use the term "higher end" loosely, it only costs $20 more, however it can reach 20bps on full auto and its programmable with an lcd screen. enough about my gun though... what upgrades do you have in mind? i would recommend a better barrel, anti-siphon your co2 tank, a regulator, and a better hopper.

and for future reference this goes in the stacked tube blowbacks forum.

how could you NOT want a reg?

you DO NOT need hpa to use a regulator, most cheap regulators are co2 tolerant and will give you much better accuracy through consistency, and you will get better effeciency, thus getting more shots per tank. you can get your tank anti-siphoned at a pro shop or even a welding supply store (i think, but dont quote me on it) for $15. you have to take your gun so they know which way is "up" on your tank to get the anti-siphon effect.

don't go out and buy a new gun right away, learn how to aim and shoot, how to slide, learn the game, learn how to clean your gun in your sleep, learn tactics, practice, and then practice more. doing this will get you the most "bang for your buck" when you do get a new gun later on, and also you will lower the chance of breaking it. i have seen 7 year olds at my field drop their guns and the hopper breaks off. learn how to hold on to your gun. once you do ALL of this you are ready for a more expensive gun.

since you should stick with the gun you have for at least a month or two, maybe 3 or 4, you need at least a few upgrades, but not $800 worth of stuff that wont transfer to another gun.

an hpa tank (high pressure, not low pressure) will transfer to any other gun you could ever buy. an anti siphon tank will not always be useable on other markers because the threads on the asa are not the same. you could actually end up feeding pure liquid co2 into your gun, and this is very dangerous. hpa is highly recommended, however an anti-siphon tank and reg is the next best thing. you can alywas have the antisiphon tube removed and rotated to fit a new gun also.

now as for barrels, probablly 50% or more of all guns on the market use spyder threaded barrels. almost anything made by brass eagle, JT, viewloader, pmi, and not to mention kingman spyder, uses spyder threaded barrels. there are spyders that could be considered an upgrade to your gun. if you can find one, you could even think about getting an e rex pro. they dont make them anymore but if you do find one you should think about buying it when the time comes to upgrade to a better gun. its twice as fast as your gun, at least 5 bps faster than anything made by kingman, and at a fraction of the cost.

if you plan on sticking with your elite for awhile, i would still recommend a new hopper. a VL revolution, empire reloader, or ricochet AK would be plenty fast enough. as your fingers get faster you will start chopping with your ricochet rhino. they sell an upgrade kit on the internet for turning your ricochet rhino into an AK and it costs $30, this is a good choice if you dont want to spend $40+ on an entirely new hopper. i can pm you the link for this if you are interested, it will be a great improvement over your rhino (although almost anything else is too.) it is entirely drop-in, meaning you dont need to strip wires and sauder them to the board, or take apart the motor or anything. you only have to take the screws out of the hopper to remove the two halves, remove the old hardware, insert the new hardware, put it back together and you now have a ricochet AK.

well i hope this has been helpful... im pretty sure i missed something so make sure you ask me about it. and im always glad to help another e rex owner... they are hard to find and that means hard to find help with.

if you wanna pimp it out get a ACS (anti-chop) bolt, some sort of barrel kit(pipes are sick), a palmers stab reg (if ur on c02) or some CP reg if your on nitro, and i'm not familiar with the gun but if its not electric, get an e-frame. the ACS bolt is made by kingman so check their site out for info and stuff. hope this helps
