For a starter, it's a fine gun. If you want something brand new, you probably won't find much else better that cheap.
If you're willing to buy used, then a Dragun TES is a better gun if you can find it.
If you don't mind the fact that they're slower and there's more to learn to taking care of it, the Odyssey o3m is also a great find if you can still find them. They stopped making them though, so they're rather hard to find in the same price range as they used to be.
