A-5.......a-5

thinking of getting the A-5. I've shot it, and always heard a lot of good things about it. Except for the cyclone feeder wasting too much gas. Does anyone else have any other cons about the gun????.............and what do you think is the ultimate gun for woodsball?

The 98c is faster then a A5. The cyclone feed is capped at 13.6bps unless you heighten the pressure and airflow to the cyclone piston.

98 is better because it can take a normal hopper.

I dunno. I doubt you'd be able to hit 13 with either one. and in woodsball when do you even need to hit 13? its basically impossible to chop a ball with the A-5 because of the cyclone feed. but I have had a few barrel breaks when i was using cheap paint.

my cousin got a procarbine recently. it's not fast and the trigger is heavy and yada yada yada... but i like it nonetheless.

maybe it's just because at my field i see about million 98s and a-5s. but for whatever reason, i like the procarb more than either, it's unique.

well ussually you dont need an insane firing rate in woodsball, but it does come in handy

I have an A-5 and play a good mix of woods and airball. Yeah its an airhog but with the RT on it I enjoy laying down fire on some stuck behind a tree or making a run...my bigger complaint has always been accuracy. I ended up getting a cocker instead and now use the A-5 for back up or to lend to a friend.

Actually the cyclone is not capped at anything, if it is capped it would be about 15bps in which the Egrip is capped at. At A5OG there are plenty of A-5s shooting past 13bps easy.. looking more into the 16+ area.

The only thing is with the cyclone that would cap it would be running an LPK and not switchint the line on the cyclone to a larger diameter to allow for better air flow.

the A-5 is a great gun. There is a different feel to shooting it than the 98. The ProCarbine just feels awesome when you shoot it. There's just this huge ka-chink!
The A-5 is similar, but not so strong.

i love my A-5 and from what ive read/heard the cyclone doesnt have a cap at all, the faster you can shoot the faster it will spin and also from what ive read/heard its the egrip that is capping it at 15bps. I was thinking of taking my egrip apart and taking a look a its circutry and maybe put a differant VR on it or something so you can increase the bps even more. I know you dont need to beable to spray balls all over playing woods but it would still be kool to have an A-5 at 20+bps lol but ya i love my A-5 i would recommend it to anyone.

Oh, welll, that just depends upon whether you like the old heavy ka-chink action. I mean, you can feel every aspect of the firing and recocking aciton. It makes a heavy, solid *blump* in your hands.

The A-5 is overall a much better gun. It's just a little more like the ProCarbine than the 98 is.
