The game ending Rap4 launcher review.

Tools of the trade

I received my latest addition, the grenade launcher. I'm impressed how well built the launcher, shell and the charger are built, very heavy gauge material. The thunder shell sure sounds like thunder with an after report affect of left over Co2 dropping out of the launcher like liquid nitrogen. Its very impressive and intimidating.

Installation of the launcher

The launcher needs light modifiaction to install, just a little filing to the rear part of the launcher located above the trigger. It takes about 15min, not long at all and well worth it.

Using the thunder grenade charger

Screw the charger onto the tank, and the needle on the regulator should go to the green section(1000psi), and your good to charge the grenade.

Charging the thunder grenade and loading

Charge the thunder grenade for a correctly counted two seconds. Any more than two seconds actually leaks the Co2 out.
I tested a lot of different ways of loading the paintballs, and I have found a reliable way.

1. Load an old .43cal paintball into the chamber, and make sure that the paintball is at the bottom of the chamber. I used an eraser end of a pencil to gingerly push the paintball into place.

2. Load two(you can add more) new .43cal paintballs in, and make sure they are touching the old paintball below.

3. Top it off by loading in an old .43cal paintball, and make sure that paintball is touching the new ones down below. If they are not touching each other you will have a collision and paintball breaks.

4. Repeat the process for each chamber.

The reason for this loading is, I noticed when I put the new paint in there directly there were occasional breaks. The old paint in the bottom is to bear the blast and prevent the Co2 from going around the new .43cal paintball(which makes the paintballs just lobb out). The old .43cal paintball put in last is to prevent the new paint from rolling out. The old .43cal doesn't break as easily and nicely as the new, and with the range the shell shoots you need a paint that breaks on contact. That is the reason why the new paint is in there.

I am very impressed with the performance of the launcher, charger and shell. I would recommend it to anybody that wants one, they are worth every dollar.
Purchase this grenade launcher and shell here. You won't be disappointed.

My marker weighs 12 pounds fully loaded. With the load of 20 paintballs the launcher gets 80ft. easy. Looks and discharge is a 10, the grouping stays pretty tight, they don't go all over the place. I wiped out the last three of my opponents in a game with one blast of the launcher. oooRAH!

Here is a picture of me and all my tactical gear(I will soon have a thigh rig loaded with a Rap17)

You're the mod over at rap4's forums? I'm a member there too.

I'm getting a job today, so I might get a RPA in a couple weeks of tiny or umbrella.
