They are great guns but can become alittle of a money pit but not much. I would def aim for a Private Label impulse as you will get more for your money, it will come with some upgrades stock and milling which reduces weight and looks better. All in all i love my Rat imp and when you do get it if you done have vision then def get WAS. Worth every penny.

i was looking at trading for an impulse and cash a few weeks ago, but then the ion came out and i started to be concerned with the imp's future.

Considering this and that the stock ion is better and cheaper and there are other, better markers in the same price range(ie: BKO) i would suggest looking at other options.

i would personally suggest looking at the PBN and our B/S/T forums and picking up this:
Matrix:
get the old style(not DM4/5 or proto) because with a few upgrades they can actually outperform the newer models. I would suggest getting one with at least a new board(tadao), eyes, a good barrel, and a new bolt kit(preferably evolve but freeflow is decent). You should be able to pick this up for around $700 and probably a little lower.

OR

2k2 based Timmy
Which one you get is up to as its mostly based on milling and not features but i'd suggest a 2k2, lasoya, or a texas storm. Make sure the one you get has either a WAS or frenzy board and also that it has a few nice ups(ie: barrel, adjustable ram cap). Agian, this should go for around $700

Accesories
Reloader B: more reliable and faster then a stock halo B: $140
Crossfire 68/45: Crossfire makes the best preset tanks, get a high pressure one: $200
Vforce Profiler: Easy change lense, small profile 'nuf said(though proflexs are a good alt): $75 for prolier, $55 for proflexs

That makes the grand total around one grand, if you want to cu off a little money then you can buy those guns with less ups(i know you can easily find a trix with tadao 1.1 for $550).

In conclusion, make sure your dealing with a good and reliable guy and read the stickies(both on here and the nation) before buying a gun to be sure you'll like it and are ready for the matnience and stuff.

good luck.

edit: i havent looked at 2k2 based timmies for a while so excuse me if the prices were a little off.

you know the forum does make a BST section for a reason so dont spam up other threads..
ther impulse is a very nice marker all though it does have its cons.. it sucks stock so you have to be ready to put some money into it or it will be nothing but problems.. it chops like no other with out and eye. it has a horrible trigger and the bolt and the stock bolt and hammer scratch up the insides.. i do not recommend the impulse though beacuse it will not be sold for much longer because smart parts came out with the ion and upgrades for the marker i dont think will be out much longer as well.. if you are going to get a marker in that price range id say you should go for a b2k5

Talking

I think the impulse is a great gun. It has a nice feel but its a little on the heavy side. If u get one then go for a new trigger right away and if u were to get a halo B then u will need a new feedneck cuz it doesnt fit. I'm ordering a respirator, angled drop, All-American Barrel and a few other things. In a nutshell you can make it a friggen awsome marker but you will need to put like 200-300 into it if you really want it fast accurate and comfortable

But thats just what I think

wow dude look at the post dates.
he probably allready has choosen a marker but if you havent then i would agian stress to not get an imp since they are slower(stock) and more expensive then an ion, wrath, or bushmaster. And are even worse when compared to the massive amounts of great used gats that open up to you if you buy via the nation.
my suggestion:
Empire Reloader B: $140
Crossfire 68/45: $200
2k2 based timmy(ie: 2k2, lasoya, texas storm) with was(or frenzy) or old school matrix with tadao: $whatever is left over

Impulses are good I have a Nasty Impulse that my local store/field distributes and they are decently priced but I would probably go with the new Ion. One of my team mates is shooting one this season and I would have to say that I am impressed with them. I would probably go with the new Ion before I went with an impulse. The impulse used to be the mid ranged price marker for tourneys but now I would have to say go with the Ion.
