I shot an ion and i thought it was ok but not to the point where i would buy one. It was a nice gun but there is about 100-150 extra you have to spend on the gun like a new trigger, a barrel, a feedneck, and a on/off for it to be good. That is why im choosing a b2k over an ion.

Played a 5 on 5 at the field last sunday and everyone on my team (except me) had an ion and one guy on the other team had an ion.

btw, ions are great guns

i know b2ks need some stuff too but i think that the stock stuff it has is better then ion and there is no limit to the speed on a b2k. Plus i dont like ramping so i dont need it.

I personally don't like the Ion, but mainly what I have seen from them in regards to reliability. The on/off button is the dumbest design, know 4 people whose button went out within a month of ownership, the aluminum the fittings go into is very soft, seen a couple end up getting stripped out and leaking, stok the trigger and feedneck are garbage although with a new trigger it feels pretty good. And not sure if its just b/c I am used to my guns, but I agree it did feel fairly slow. For the price they are light and fast compared to their competitors, however I would much rather get something that is light, fast AND rekiable.

I dont like the ion that much i shot one. Dont get me wrong it is good but i just thinks is kinda stupid that everyone has it. It is like walking down the street and every 9 out of 10 people look the exact same. Plus i dislike smartparts because they are too power hungry.

wow because soemthing is a good deal and people buy it means its bad?

you do know that the point of running a buisness is to make money right?

Its not that they are running a good business its that they are trying to make a monopoly buy sueing every company and even shutting a few down because they can't meet their demands. They make enough money as it is they don't need to shut down or sue anymore. Im not gonna support them because if they keep up what they are doing i believe they are going to be the reason why paintball gets destroyed. Plus i don't like the idea and they upcoming project i have heard about which will cause even more damage to the rest of they company's and will probably shut the majority of them down. They make good guns but i won't support them.

I dont understand why anyone would care what people are shooting! You have to ask yourself the question,why are you at the field playing paintball?Because you want to worry about what gun everyone has or because you want to have fun and try to be the best player you can be? How many people drive the same car? Does that make you hate on them too?

I realize alot of kids post on here and they are just being kids. And the same ones hate'n on the ion would be on here talking about how great they are if their parents brought one home!

On another note I think the Ion will force other companies to be more competative with there prices, I beleive the Tippmann 98E has already come down in price in the last few months! I played this weekend and didnt see a single Ion at the field. I have one in the mail, I cant comment on how good it is because I have never shot one!I hope it is a gun for the price and will last me for many years, I will just have to wait and see!!

their are a few flaws that are staring to show up with the Ions. I just had to replace my vision board cause some thing burned out on it, and my air line had a slight leak when i got it out of the box

I don't like the feel of them at all. I have played with them and it felt so cheap holding it. The trigger is uncomfy(both with and without the magnet).

They're good markers for the price and alot of people at my field like them. They're just not for me tho. I don't have a problem with ions, just prefer not to use them.

some guns are alright, just never liked them.
