Empire II Intimidator
So, I have an Empire II Timmy right now that I just got, so I'm gonna write a little review on it.
Out of the Box:
Well, I first slid the nice little Empire sleeve off of the main box, then proceeded to take of the lid. On top of everything is a green paper with the directions of the Empire 1.5 board. After I quickly threw that down I lifted the piece of foam to reveal a sexy little piece of art work. The milling is superb and the gun looks great. The anno could be a bit better in quality, but it still looks amazing.
I took the gun home, put a fitting on the torpedo, and aired it up. The guage went up to 50 psi when I first aired it up, but after 1 shot it went down to about 25 and caused a small leak. Not a problem though, I simply went back and raised the LPR a bit and went back to work.
I shot the gun a couple times without paint just to make sure the LPR wasn't going to do something crazy again. I was amazed. I used to own a DM5 that shot amazing, and this had the same amount of kick, only it's about half the weight. I put my Halo on and set the board to semi mode (it comes in NXL mode), and ripped a little stream. There was no kick except for a super slight amount caused by the super light weight of the gun. It was teets to say the least.
Pros:
Well, there are a lot of good things about the gun. The stock feedneck sits nice a low and gives a good clamp. The stock trigger is amazing. The new Empire 1.5 board is excellent. It comes with a lot more modes than the 127.4 board. The Empire comes with Semi, 2-shot, 3-shot, NXL, 3-shot PSP ramp, 2-shot ramp, and smart ramping. The board it super fast and very easy to use.
Cons:
Well, there aren't many, but there are a few. The main thing that made me mad was the super huge trigger guard. I like a big trigger guard, but it is so big it interferes with the fitting on the reg. My reg has to sit kind sideways now and it very uncomfertable. Other than that, it was good.
Overall:
I am quite happy with the gun. I compared it to a teammate's Alias and they are very similar while having a couple differences. The Empire is a couple ounces lighter, but it's impossible to feel unless you are really paying attention. The Empire is a tad quieter. The Empire runs at about 55psi while the Alias is running at about 70 I believe. The Empire is a lot lighter on paint. Other than that they are pretty much the exact same.
If you have the money, get one, you'll love it. If you are on a tighter budget, get a Gen 3 timmy.
Here's some pics to make everyone happy.
Please excuse any spelling errors, I am still a little hung over.

I haven't used the Empire yet, so I can't really make a judgement. The Empire has a bit less kick and is a lot quieter though.

Nice review, I'm saving up for an Empire Timmy right now, but that could take a little while, even though this made me want one even more!

I give it a month at the most before you trade it off...lol
Good review. Looks good from those pics...but they aren't of the best quality. Get some better pics and if you could...a vid would be sweet.

Haven't been able to actually use this yet. I only ran about 3 pods through it to try it out.
All you have to do is put some 55 on the rammer and triflow on the bolt and it's ready to roll.

Wrong Barber, the proper maintenance for a Gen 4 Timmy is this:
Torpedo: Clean and Lube piston O-ring by unscrewing the lower part of the reg from the top half, then using needle nose pliers to get the piston out, you can leave the spring in but once every few times it's good to take everything out and clean all of it.
LPR: Clean and Lube Piston O-ring by taking off lpr cap, and getting the lpr spring and piston out using needle nose pliers for the piston.
Ram: Clean and Lube Ram O-rings by taking off the ram cap and bolt, then tilting the gun backwards and smacking the back end of the gun until the ram comes out.
Poppet: Take frame off, take out ram sleeve and with it comes the poppet, clean and lube poppet O-Rings(You cannot just take off the front block like on Gen 3 Timmies, bob changed the design so that you have to take out the ram sleeve to get to the poppet. Just try not ever lubing your poppet and see what happens, mine started leaking after I didn't lube it after 4 uses, who knows maybe you will be lucky and it won't.
Bolt: Not required, I just put a little tiny bit of aka lube on it and spread it around, like a drop or two, it doesn't spread away from the bolt like triflow does easily.
You can choose not to do all of this, but the performance will decrease slowly but surely on your gat...
And btw Barber, it's a ram, not a rammer.

Yeah, I know that. Everyone should know that the regs need maintained, just like any other gun.

I am using an Angry Halo and have had no problems. I took the 2 front o-rings off the bolt to help preserve detent life.
The feel is amazing. The frame is perfect for me.

After owning the gun for a month, here is a little more review on it.
The second time I aired it up I had a small leak. I took it all apart and cleaned it up and lubed it. That fixed the problem.
After that, I have had a problem getting it to shoot over 200. If you are having a problem like this, call Blast and they will send you a new style poppit for free. The new style is all brass and a bit heavier, the old style is aluminum with a delrin head.
Other than that it's been good.
