First impression : the gun feel solid and it's still really light. So I went to the local shop to fill my HPA tank and came back home to try this.
Put some balls in my Vlocity jr., air it up, adjusting the reg to 225 psi and fire. Works like a charm, the infinity trigger feels just correct in my hand. Absolutely no leaks, no recocking problems, no velocity spikes.
So I shot as fast as I could, reaching about 12-15 bps, and this marker had absolutely no kick, that's really incredible.
I cannot say if this marker is better or not than an Ion, so I will not try to flame this marker. Ions are great as much as I heard. I think both are great markers.
Conclusion:
Why to recommend that marker ? Pretty fast, light, accurate and no kick. Plus the look is awesome. I can't find any troubles yet on it, so there's no need to drop points.
Plus :
-Accurate
-Fairly light (2.8lbs wo/barrel, tank and hopper)
-Fast
-Nice look
-Absolutely no kick at high rates of fire
Minus :
-Not any found yet
Deserve a 10, cannot be better for that range of price.
Edit 2007-07-26 :
I tried this on the field, outperforming everything on the field (most people had 98c and A-5). My marker did a nice impression with others players. I heard things like :"that's really a spyder ?". Everyone on the field wanted to try it, and were very impress.
So I cannot be happier with my marker. The maintenance was really easy as expected. Almost no tools were required, only a allen wrench key to let the striker get out.
I had absolutely no problems with the regulator, it performed very well, and I had about 1000-1200 shots with a 68ci/4500psi.
I had a Tl-X before, and the VS2 is lighter than it, no doubt on this. Sure the trigger felt fragile to me the first time I used it, but after a bit of tuning with screws, it felt really nice to me.
I bought the blue barrel tip made by kingman. My barrel is now longer on ported part, and is more precise. I was hitting a 5'' square easy at 50'. I also had a small issue with it. My marker stock recocking in one game, but after lubing it (I only put 3 drops of oil in the ASA and dry fire about 50 shots), everythings was fine, so there's no much to say
I have to agree that the vs2 is a sweet gun, but from what I've seen it's very loud. Other than that I love the trigger action and it's definitely a level above previous spyders.
ya I also just bought a vs2 and i also had no problems. I set the the air pressure and ajusted the trigger and fell in love with it. It's decent on air for a spyder and it's quiet for a spyder. I would also give it a 10
i just bought this gun feels light and is easy to adjust and clean i have tanken stuff off then put it back on just to practice and also it is light compared to the rental guns i used except my tank makes it heavy i should upgrade next summer if i have the cash
