2008 Markers?? October Releases?
I'm in the market to upgrade my marker from my (delightfully upgraded) Ion to something higher end. I've spoken to several shops here in Alberta and they're all singing the same tune, "Wait! Wait! The new markers come out in October."
Save for a video of a supposed 2008 Bob Long, I've seen little or nothing to indicate a flood of new year markers on the market. Does anybody know if the various manufacturers work like auto manufacturers and release "the 2008's?" If so, when? How?

I know that there's a 2008 fusion out, not sure if anyone else has released a 2k8 marker yet.

Yes, the majority release new stuff at the Cup.
Off the top of my head (I don't know how many of these will be released at the cup), I've heard there will be the Fusion 8/F8, DM8, Ego8, Cyborg '08, Droid, Pikkadoll, Exalt, Q7, Independence... that's all I can think of at the moment.

^ maybe make it a little lighter by using a different material that is just as strong? just a suggestion.

Of course they can. There is always room for improvement.

Yes but what would it be. I can see an on/off, bolt, eye logic, barrel, and not much else. They can't do much to the weight without an alternate power source or an undiscovered plentiful metal.
