This reminds me, I should put up a little blurb about how things with this are going now
:P

So anyways, I've had the EOS for a little while, and I must say that it's still quite the nice marker for what I paid for.
$389.99 is a bit expensive for the EOS, for that price I'd rather get something else; I got my EOS for under $350, and $350 is about the most I'd pay for an EOS.

So with the EOS, the only upgrades I've put into it are a Bob Long Pillow Bolt, new ASA, 360 QEV, and a CP Trigger, that's it! Everything else is stock! No need for a new feedneck, the Q-Loc is fine, no new body, this one is metal and has the BOB feature, no new grips, these feel fine, etc. etc.

So, for under $350 this was a fantastic buy, look for these things lightly used or see if your local SmartParts dealer can cut you a deal, or maybe you work or ref at a paintball place and you can get some sort of discount.
With almost everything you need already on the gun, and with some very minor upgrades, you got one hell of a marker!

I still use this as my primary electro, and it keeps up with everything on the field.

I'm very happy with my purchase and I can honestly say that the EOS was worth every penny (as long as you don't pay more than $350 for it though)!

I can honestly say that my EOS has earned a special place in my heart and I will continue to use it whenever I play

SmartParts actually did something right by making the EOS
>.<

I bought my EOS online for $309 (liquid carbon) even after reading reviews that the LC finish sort of wears off (they were not kidding.)

This is my first paintball marker. I was originally going to go with an A5 as I have read and heard from people about their reliability/durability but my buddy who got me interested in the sport who has a Shocker recommended that I get something that I can use for speedball as well as woodsball. He said the A5 is a great gun and you will love it but once we get into really playing speedball you will be undergunned.

-So I got to looking and he showed me where there were some older Shockers for sale for around $500 but I really did not want to spend a lot of money just starting out, so I came across the EOS that replaced the Epiphany. Bolt out back, firebolt, q-neck feedneck, freak jr, barrel etc.. I guess the BOB was the main selling point as I was looking at the ION but read and heard how you have to practically take the marker apart to clean/lube it so when I saw the BOB on the EOS I jumped on it.

-Dropped the hammer and bought it. Have had no issues with it since I got it in June. Only upgrades I guess you could call it was a 360QEV. When I first downloaded the manual I was kind of hesitant to try and play with any of the settings but after looking at a few videos on youtube and just reading tutorials I gave it a go and surprisingly came out of it ok. Easy to program, set dwell etc...Put in the green air volume insert as recommended by SP when you install a QEV and dropped the dwell to around 20 or 22, i forget.

-I have since gotten a Deadly wind fibur barrel, a Lucky Un1tec barrel and a freak kit, Pulse and Pinokio hoppers. No other upgrades as I dont feel I need any.

Overall the marker shoots great. Have only busted a few balls using the stock barrel but feel it was the paint and not the marker. I did not use a freak insert with the DW barrel the first time (did not know you had to, just thought that you could use one if you wanted) and I was breaking balls like crazy, found out why later. The LC finish is wearing off in certain places but it does not affect the performance just the looks of the marker but it doesnt really matter to me, the marker performs so that is all that matters to me.

Smart Parts customer service is great. When my buddy and I were installing the QEV, it kept leaking from the fitting so I sent the marker in to SP and they repaired it for free, only thing it cost was to ship it out.

Overall I am happy with the marker and have no desires to get rid of it or buy another marker.
