i havent read much on it. but its a boltless marker. it seems to operate like a big pelletgun. most of the complaints were low rate of fire and maybe a better barrel. im not thinking of getting one. i just think its an interesting concept. anyone knoiw anything about it?

I know of the gun you're referring to. It's a mech gun with no bolt, instead using a trapdoor design.

nah, i like my blow foreward. its a rather new design so im eager to see what spawns off of it. ima look into that revalation, never heard of it.

i mean compared to other valve designs. boltless is the most new.
i looked at that alien, no specs, it had good reviews, but its a little ugly in my book.

Neither are particularly new, there are no plans for either at the moment. The Epic never caught on and the Alien project was taken over by the Interceptors and then the Remains etc.

I believe I remember Mr. Rice (owner/creator of Alien PB) saying the trap door marker was just called the "Alien", not the "Alien ____"; there technically is no "Revelation" or "Monarch" from what I understand. I could be wrong though, finding info on them is difficult.

I actually started to develop this idea, and presented it to a few people. They told me it had already been developed and my dreams of making millions were shot down

I've always been interested int eh idea though. The main problem seems to be that the feedneck doesnt' seal. What if one were to completly change the way it feeds? maybe a back feeding? I dunno, i'm just throwing out ideas now.

One of features of the Epic marker is that it actually sealed very well. There was very little blowback. There are some videos that are probably still up somewhere where they take a piece of paper and put it on the feedneck; they dry fire, and it doesn't move much.

Not entirely sure, that was probably factor along with the fact that I don't think there was ever an electronic version offered. You could get a conversion done but it was very pricey.

perhaps cosmetics? niether are very attractive markers to begin with. how about the upgrades? few and far between with a hefty tag?
as for the marketing, all the alien site does is say "WIN! ITS BETTER" "BUY THIS TO WIN!" things like that. its pretty freakin expensive compared to other tried and true markers. because it is so sparse i assume it would be a pain to get it worked on or up'd

i believe they were a little expensive to begin with and when it came out gun technology was really starting to get somewhere. Vikings, timmys, matrixs and cockers were really dominant and had insane performance. Performance that we still have yet to really go beyond 4 years later.

I wonder how efficient it is.

If it has to push the paintball past the detents with just air, that might use up more instead of having something to push it forward.

Cool concept though!!!
