SP-8 vs Ion
i'm looking to get a new gun and from what i've seen i like the SP-8. i noticed that the SP-8 and Ion have the same internal parts and without upgrades i assume they should preform the same way as well, but the SP-8 is $100 more. is there something i'm missing? reviews on either gun would be helpful and is there something that the SP-8 has that the ion doesnt? what is it that makes it more expensive?

the milsim body kit is the only difference. expect to pay the difference to make your gun look like that as well. so if your getting into woods, get the sp8, if not then get the ion.

well i play almost entirely woodsball and have very little interest in hyperball. i've noticed that the sp-8 has plenty of upgrades which can be added, is this also true for the ion? a stock is a must

Yeah you'll be able to get all your milsim goodies for the sp-8 but its doubtful you'll be able to get those for the ion. I guess with the ion you can do all sorts of upgrades to the internals without a lot of work but with the sp-8 you can get all the cosmetic stuff that makes it look cool and i guess you might be able to use it better in the woods...might be sturdier or something.
Not sure why you would need a stock...can you not use your tank as the stock?

the tank is too low, i prefer a stock. i like the looks much better and aside from things like the bolt or other internals i cant find any upgrades for the ion. is there anything else i should know? are they accurate guns and so on?

Not sure what other upgrades there should be.
bolt assembly, barrel, feedneck, board, trigger frame, regulator, laser eyes, grips, and countless mods you can do to them.

the ion seems so much better due to the small space it takes up and the lower price, but for some reason i'm still leaning towards SP-8. maybe its the feel since i play almost only woodsball, maybe its because i like how i could mount my Q loader on the SP8 instead of how i'd mount it on an ion, i'm not sure. is there anything that makes the SP8 better so i can justify spending the extra money?

what about this stealth barrel kit? correct me if i'm wrong but i dont think that can be added to an ion and i've seen someone with it before, its insanely quiet. (yes, i'm looking for reasons to justify it)

anything SP threaded can be put on an ion/impulse/sp8/eos/epiphany/shocker(NXT only)/any other SP gun.
