What exactly is the 360qev and why is it such a highly suggested upgrade for the epi?

Quick Exhause Valve, you get better efficiency and you get a grease trap so you don't mess up your solinoid and you can get a faster cycle rate on your gun if you get an aftermarket board.

the man above said it all. I ordered the wrong one, sold it and am ordering a different one. if you don't wanna support SP you can just get a different one.

I haven't personally shot an SLG but have heard it is just like a PMR, but louder and slightly more kick. and my epiphany shoots just like a PMR in my hands, except the PMR I shot had a UL frame on it so it was more comfortable. but just get an epiphany, they are cheaper then the PMR and shoots just like it.

Psh, I just sold an ephiphany on the nation. They shoot similar to an upped ion. I personally have used BOTH marker and not stating my post on one marker. The Proto SLG is the all around better marker.

I have owned/teched/shot them both. they are far frm the same gun, the only thing that is the same in maintenance. the only thing the SLG will have is probably weight, other then that nothing.

They shoot similar which you have stated, and the Proto SLG being lighter and having less kick. They BOTH are the same price. The Proto SLG also being under a good company and the epiphany being under the terrible company Smart Parts. I pretty sure that the Proto SLG wins

the PMR and the epihpany shoot virtually the same, the SLG is gonna be louder and have more kick, and the SLG and epiphany ar ethe same price, but the epiphany is a better gun. the PMR and the epiphany are the same virtually, but the epiphany has a better price tag on it, which is why it is my choice.

Kenny you still have not shot the slg. I see your logic but it seems that I should rely more on the the guy that has actually shot both. Still not sure however.
That vibe still looks somewhat appealing because of its simplicity.

I don't have a gun now. Previously (~3-4 years ago) I went thru a crap load of guns (timmys, matrixes, bushmasters, etc.) but realized I wasn't really even paintballing, I was just trading gun after gun. So I sold my stuff and "quit." Over the past few years I have had some urges to start again, and never really did anything about it until now, hence the thread. I just want something that will shoot good and be very easy to keep up; however, I don't want to regret not spending the etra $60 for the epi/slg if I start to go a lot. However I don't want the opposite either (to buy amazing gear and never go). I'm having difficulty choosing which loader/hpa tank to get now as well: 47/3k + halo frontman or 68/4500 + halo b?
I've cut it down to some mixture of these:
Gun: Epiphany, Vibe, or SLG
Loader: Egg3, HaloB, or halo frntman
Tank: haven't really cut it down here, not sure if I should go steel or fiber or what size.

All in all go with the Proto SLG.

SLG is now $200. (Yes i know somebody has already posted this)
Epiphany is $250.
You spelled Epiphany wrong when mentioning the price. How are you a good source if you cant spell right?

Or I could do this? What do you guys think about this package?
Ion deal 1
or
Ion deal 2
And if I got a barrel: SP Progressive, Linear, or CP one piece?

out of those two, the second deal is better, but I'd still go for the Epiphany.

truth to the above, but the ion with the QEV and such is better.

Might anger a couple of you, but I went with the SLG. Something inside just wanted to get it and so I had to. Went with a clamping feedneck, halo B, and steel 47/3k tank to go with it (got it at ansgear for $345 w/ free ship). Can't wait for it to come.

You might have wanted to wait for a better tank. 47/3000 isn't gonna get you too many shots.

Paintballa -
I find myself in the same position you were just in. Let me know if you think you made the right decision.
