chill man. there's not peopel on here that can help 24/7. it's a smaller forum.
the tippman alphas are made with tippman parts, meaning they're basicalyl a tippman when it come to quality...as far as I know. They're really new so I may be wrong.

The Alpha Black is basically a Tippmann gun, all put together to resemble the M16. It is not a part by part gun, its pretty solid on its own. You cannot "upgrade" or custimize it like the 98, A-5, or X-7. All of them are really the same "gun" just with different ways to custimize it with different upgrades. If you are new to paintball and are looking for a nice starter gun (and like the looks) this is a good gun, otherwise the 98 is almost the same, except you can uprgade it more, but to get it to look like the Alpha Black would cost more than just getting the Alpha Black alone.
Hope that helps, I just got all that from today at a store I was checking out.

Cuttin N pasten for Ur info fellas. Im an Alpha Black owner and I have to say this gun is a great addition to my collection of tippy guns(98C, A5 , X7 & BT-4 Delta ), Its actually my favorite. I see there is a bunch of hype on all forums about it. It is a M4 based design not a M16 , its smaller like the M4 and used for close quarters combat and urban fighting. And as far as people saying its not upgradable there wrong. An E-Trigger is coming out around June along with a cyclone feed system and a longer barrel(what more could U want). Also the fixed rail sight can be altered to hold a red dot sight and if your good with tools and have an imagination you can add a bunch of cool stuff like a universal grenade launcher and WEAVER/PICATINNY rails for lights and lazers . Dont knock it till U try it. DarkkRiderZ GRAW 2 killers rule. Stay Up

yep, some have said it would've been cheaper for me to get the alpha black rather than spend about $120 to make my custom 98 to look like the alpha black. I just paid about $117 for the 16" m16 barrel with front sight, M16 carry handle/rear sight and CAR collapsible stock. But hey, the custom 98 will be my main gun...will probably look at other cheaper guns as a backup gun!

I saw this in sports authority a while back, and it seems like it would be a decent gun. An 11'barrel, adjustable stock, and top handle. Perhaps they'll make one that has the option of a rail system instead of the handle, and even then the handle can be rail attached.
EDIT:Check out the official website for the alpha black at:
