Cool Getting back in game...Need to buy gun this week

Hello fellow paintballers...

I've been playing paintball since I was about 15 (25 now) and fell off of it after college with 60 hour workweeks like many of you have. I've gone through a pump, spyder, tippman 68 carbine, tippmann 68 prolite/carbine fully modified, and most recently a minimag w/ chrome body and also modified. I just sold my mini for a $160 to a friend of mine but I kept my 68ci 3k tank and am looking to get a new gun as we will be playing quite a bit this summer and we have a birthday party at a nearby field in 2 weeks.. I do not want to rent but after lookin through this forum a bit I can see how much the markers have changed.

What would you guys recommend? I'd hate to re-buy a mini at a loss since I just sold mine for 160...but, I'm seeing some real hate on the Tippmann A-5 which I was looking at actively, second guessing myself now.

Figure a budget of 250 for the gun, the best scenario would be a gun that could run on both co2 and compresed air/nitrogen without problems; but if only air then thats fine. Seriously considering a mini on ebay because I loved it so much...

Suggesions? Thanks guys; I know the spyder seems to get a lot of love around here (vs2 over vs3, etc) but I'm feeling something aside from a spyder.

What is break beam eyes? I see it on the vs2 which seems to have a bit better technology.

Eyes meen it will only shoot if something breaks the beam of the Infrared laser "eyes" inside the gun (namely paintballs), keeping shopping to a minimum

if you want to spend a lot less money on a quality product, check out a promaster. they're cheap because ICD got out of the paintball business. There's a large following for them still though with all the help you can get, and parts fly around like nobodys business. It's a HPa onyl marker though.

you best co2 and hpa choice would be a spyder vs2.
