Gun Advice
Hi, I just started playing paintball today and well was out gunned extremley. I was using an old stingray while my friends, one in particular using a fully automatic one pelted me like crazy. What would be a good gun selection to choose in the 2 to 300 dollar range? Prefferablly something Academy sells. I was looking at a Tippmann 98 custom and x-7..Any help would be appreciated. Also, are their any sort of neck guards? Was shot in the neck and it still hurts.

It happens, look into a VS1/VS2(depending on whether or not you want HPA).

What exactly is HPA? I'm limiting myself to Academy sense my friend works their and can get me a discount. One of my friends was using an ion. I would sortive like something to compete with his. What are the differences between the two(vs1,,vs2)

High Pressure Air. Also called compressed air, or nitrogen. Much more stable, more reliable than co2.
MOSTLY, the difference is that the VS1 can use co2, the VS2 is compressed air only. However the VS2 also has better milling and a nicer trigger.

There's really no difference in a practical sence besides the CO2 HPA thing and the Balance Valve.
Both are good.

why waste more money on 2 guns when he can have a gun better than a 98c right from the start? Replacement parts are common, and it has much better features than any 98c out there, namely eyes, batter than any ACT or ACS bolt (system) out there.
