For that price, go for it. Just realize that the impulses were HEAVY guns, so it'll be night and day difference going from the welterweight PMR to the fatso Impulse. However if you don't mind this, the Impulse does shoot quite nicely, and if it's a vision Imp, with a few upgrades, can keep up in speed with anything made to date.

QFT, I have an imp that will keep up with just about anything, it's just a heavy mother. They run decently on air when tuned right and I've never chopped any paint with mine. Mine is a vision one with some ups. Its nice.
For $100, i'd do it. what ups does it have and is it a vision? if its got ups and has vision, go for it.

I had an Eclipse impy that ripped nothing but faces, ran at 100 PSI too.

i have an impy as my back up (dm6 is the other) they are a bit heavy but very simple to work on and maintain, i think its a good idea, get the vision with the cricket board is the best way to go, deralin bolts are also quite nice, no rings

dont know that id bother with an aftermarket board for the back up marker, the only reason i suggested the cricket is cuz you dont have to adjust the eye sensitivity to the paint you are using, makes things even simpler, with the original board you do, the cricket is stock on the later models

With a reflective eye system I'd want that effect for different colored paints.

what is that? adjustment or the board doing it automatically? i shot all kinds of different paint, never had any problems.

in my mind heres a great combo, impulse with the cricket and vision boards, deralin bolt so you dont have to worry about rings, and a J&J barrel, o and a feedneck.
