you can use a unregulated CO2, but why get the Electra when you can get the VS1?
The Electra uses a plastic grip frame, while being strong, not nearly as strong as the VS1's frame, and the VS1 is cheaper, same BPS (though you will never shoot 20 bps), and overall better in design.

Only reason i'd consider the 2008 electra is because of the new compact frame, but that's about it. It's like an inch shorter than the VS1, but i agree with you azn, VS1s are overall a better deal.

It comes with Tadao and is still only that cheap?

I'd still get the VS1 and then put the Tadao chip in for just a bit more thangetting that ugly POS electra with plastic grip frame and no volumizer

It's that cheap because even though it's Tadao, it only has 3 modes.

And yes, I'd take Electra over the VS1 also, but I'd take the VS2 over the electra.

I don't think the VS1 has the balance valve system in it, which is why I prefer the VS2.

Correct, it doesn't. Balance valve is not suggested for use on co2.

Basically either get the VS2 and a used HPA tank off the nation or get the 08 electra with a 20 oz co2 tank.

If you must get the Electra, I'd get a metal frame for it atleast and just switch the boards.

For some reason, the new 08 Pilot and Electra seem more like a merketing gimmik to me, since they already have the VS Series that is amazing.

Just upping there low end spyders that don't use the balance valve system, a better choice then the VS1 I'd think.
