ive done a lot of researching. first i wanted the Electra but found out that the price for that gun is not worth it. then i did alittle bit more research and found out that vs2 seems like a starter/intermediate gun ? My friend said the a-5 is a really good gun and so does my info i've looked up said so. but then again... paying more money just to upgrade it ? i am just a beginner so... i need advice on which guns.
let me know guys. thanks
btw, if you know any good package deals on the vs2 from sites and parts also pm me or just post a reply =]
Spyder is smaller, lighter, faster, more efficient, and cheaper. The A-5 is more able to stand neglecting routine maintenance. IMO, I'd like to pay less for more performance and have to actually do maintenance.

If your going to play woodsball 90% of the time get a A-5. They can take a beating and still fire like its brand new. I suggest buying a response trigger and a dif barrel. Dont get sites or stocks. Remotes can come in handy as well

It's terrible that people who suggest to buy tippmann's for woodsball, only can say, "they can take a beating and still fire"...I've had spyder's "take a beating" and still fire. You just have to care for your marker....I don't think someone should ever sacrifice performance just so they can neglect their marker.

No it depends on the spyder. I mean getting in the mud and everything water and so on. Spyders have electronic parts that would be fryed easily. Tippmanns are good all around guns. They can be used for speedball also, there is actually a pro team that all use the tippmann A-5 for speedball

A modified A-5 body with electropneumatic internals. There's not a stock-type part on those Tippmans they use. They're not even blowbacks.
i see. hmmm would you recommend any other spyder markers besides mr series and vs2 ?
DONT GET A MR. Even tho the Mr2 has eyes there still horrible. The stocks they come with break easily and hard to keep clean. Like i said it depends on what your doing, if you do speedball go on ebay and look for a used ion or dm5 (if your lucky). Woodsball go with the tippmann, not the X7 though. X7 has most of the A5 parts and just has a e grip and looks "prettier"

i have an e-mr1. and i have no problems. IMO eyes on a lower quality money =lost money. but 4 the tippmann part i totally agree about the x7. but i wouldn't go with the a5 neither. its the most overpriced marker i've seen.
instead a BT, or an SP1.
The RSX is more a speedball marker so i wouldn't go to woodsball with it. it would suck if it got wet.

That's one of the many myths. In any conditions you're likely to be in other than DIE HARD MIL-SIM, you will have issues with the paint swelling and not feeding properly LONG before you have issues with the electronic boards on your markers.
good job jacking his thread haha
i recommend the vs2. just get a light tank and a decent loader and there you go, add some camo pants and a jacket, and your ready for woodsball. really that's all i do and its a lot better than those kids with the a-5. the vs2 is an all over better marker

Reason: forgot stuff ,spelling
Why you would get the A-5: If you are new to the sport and probbly won't perform consistant maintance and if you just want a marker that you can pick up and it will work for you. Also if you like the mil-sim look than the A-5 is for you.
Why you would get the VS Spyder: If you want to get a slightly better performing gun for the price. You'll need to do consistant maintance and simply take care of the gun. Not to hard but people often don't. And if you're looking to getting a higher end gun a year or so down the road.
Why you would get the MR Spyder: If you wanted to waste your money. It's a mil-sim version of a spyder that can't take the same abuse as the tippmann and isn't capable of shooting as nice as the VS spyder.
On a side note, if you guys are talking about Tippmann effects, they actually used 98's not A-5's. and yes they were heavily modified, but not all their guns had electronumatic internals. A number of them simply had the LP kits to reduce kick and where actually still blow backs. Their was also a team that used Raven markers, which where just really overpriced spyders back in the day.

thanks for the tip. =] which kind of tanks(HPA) and loader would you recommend ? (besides the halo and for tank i think it was guerilla air)
