Thumbs up Brass Eagle Striker

July 29
I recieved the Striker today. I did not shoot it yet. But I am a little disappointed with that it is all plastic (polymer). 0? Also it has been said it will have Spyder barrel threads. The barrel does not come off. I am not weak and I also did not want to snap it off. However, it seems that it is not ment to come off. I got the players pack because I did not have anything. It does have a good balanced feel with the loader and the tank on it. It sits high when up on your shoulder. The drop forward real is nice and effective.
The mask is not bad but it does not have a visor or a spot for one. The two tubes are Viewloader 100 rounders. The hopper is a Brass Eagle 200 rounder with a snapping lid. It also has a little pin instead of a spring like the VL200, so you have to turn the lid to pour in paint.

July 31
I finally got 500 rounds of 32 degree Team Color Paintballs and my tank filled. The store oiled and adjusted the velocity on the Striker without me even asking. They made some comments about how it was plastic and BRASS EAGLE.
As soon as I got the chance, I screwed on the tank and loaded the hopper. I grabbed the squeegie because I could just picture the plastic Brass Eagle marker chopping the paint like the Cookie Monster eating Cookies.
I was wrong and shocked at the abilities of this gun. I have been waiting for this gun to come out since January. I unloaded the hopper shooting at different speeds and at various targets at all ranges. After 200 rounds and NO BALL BREAKS, I was ripped. Accuracy was alittle problem from the plastic barrel. Therefore, I performed a little test using paper plates (approx. 9 inches). At 10 yards, I hit 10 out of 10, 20 yards 6 out of 10, 30 yards 3 out of 10. There are many varibles to these results. First I did not mount the gun as they do in professional test, I just shot from a standing position. Second, it was very windy. To defend the guns accuracy all the shots that missed where within an inch or two of the plate. I shot off about 50 shots at a sign 3 foot by 3 foot at approx. 65 yards. I hit it about 55 times, the first couple shots missed due to me trying to fire fast. I finished up by shooting the remaining balls and still NO BALL BREAKS. I shot this thing pretty fast too. The gun could probably use a VL Quantum loader because I was able to out shoot the gravity feed loader.
NEXT WEEK: Game use review !!!

i would look into a different loader, like a vl revolution or empire reloader, quantems continually spin so there always making noise, dont hold much, and arent fast

Yes my mistake. It was 65 balls at 50 yards. I typed it up before bed that night and was taking the info off a piece of paper my girl had written it on. I am saying the VL Quantum loader would be helpful in not having that no ball in the chamber from a gravity feeder.
