What Gun for New Players?
Hey, I just started ballin'. I've been more than 6 times and am planning on buying a gun. Please tell me what gun is the best for a starter. I like to have an accurate and sniper-style gun, but still be able to run up and beat the crap outta a guy. Heres my list of what I've heard.
- Spyder Xtra
- Spyder E99
- Tippmann 98 Custom

ok u have been sucked in a ploy, there is no sniper in paintball,i suggest u get a e99,jaj ceramic barrel 10-14 inches, anti siphoned co2 tank,a empire reloder hopper, and some good paint and u will have a good gun.

meh
what i meant by sniper is mostly a a5 or 98 custom with a flatline barrel. i think that counts as a sniper gun.

there is no sniping as in shooting more then 150 ft. sure you can wait and ambush but that is one mistake newbs make the most often. you learn a lot faster and have a lot more fun going out and being a hell of a lot more aggressive.
a good rule of thumb is if your bunker isnt being shot at you should move.
as far as the guns go i would suggest the following to packages.
woodsball
tippmann 98c($130)
Dye Proto Switch mask($30)
20oz CO2($20)
allen wrenches, oil, cleaning supplies, ect...($15)
total: $195
--upgrades in order--
J&J Ceramic Barrel($35)
double trigger($20)
drop forward($20)
ViewLoad Revolution($50)
3000PSI Pure Energy Fiber-wrapped tank($180)
Speedball
Dragun TES...save up the extra few bucks you wont regret it($160)
Dye Proto Switch mask($30)
20oz CO2($20)
ViewLooader Evolution II w/ z-board($60) youll need this for any electric gun unless you like chopping
allen wrenches, oil, cleaning supplies, ect...($20)
total: $290
--upgrades in order--
J&J Ceramic Barrel($35)
3000PSI Pure Energy Fiber-wrapped tank($180)
Highly Recomended
Spyder Victor II($60)
Dye Proto Switch mask($30)
3000PSI Pure Energy Fiber-wrapped tank($180)
total: $270
--upgrades in order--
Halo B($110)
OR
ViewLoader Revolution($50)
and then a new gun either a Indian Creek Designs' BKO, a used Smart Parts Impulse, or a WGP 2k4 Vertical Feed cocker. get the halo B for the impulse or BKO, get the revolution for the cocker.
tl;dr version:
its pretty simple. a Dragun TES is fast and expensive. a Tippmann 98c is slow but built like a tank. and the Victor II is cheap allowing you to upgrade to a new gun sooner.

^nice for you to explain your opinion
e99=teh suckitude.
for $20 more you can get a gun that shoots twice as fast, has eyes, and has the same consistency, same reliability, and better quality parts.
the only good spyders are the mechanical ones. the electronics are way overpriced in comparrision with their competition.
for the price the victor II is a much better gun.
my problem with any spyder though is that the kickback is terrible. for that reason id suggest either the victor II(cheap), Tippmann 98c(woodsball), or Dragun TES(speedball)

haha the people on here are the only people i have met that aren't T.E.S haters... usually everywhere i go.. .my field, other sites, etc. they give me **** about t.e.s's. Here not many ppl have bad things to say about them
guess ill help with the thread... the t.e.s's are cheap now but if you're sure you don't want that id say get a tippman 98 or the e-99. a lot of players at the begginning of there careers want to be dead accurate and want the tippman series but after seeing the nicer faster guns want to change to that... i would reccomend the e99 over the tippy unless you are dead set at playing in the woods most of the time...

What?^^^
a fenix shoots 13 at max..and it is very hard to hit 13 on it stock, actually, extremely hard..and they are blenders to if u shoot at any speed over 6 bps unless u have a halo..
Id get a tes...they are amazingness for the price, they got eyes, and a very light trigger pull for a cheap gun. Capped at 20 bps and it is easy to get 12-14 bps on it. Make sure u have an egg or a halo
tes=160 on the gateway of paintball
20 oz c02= 30
egg= 70
mask= 25
$285

What is this "oce" tank you speak of?
And...
What is a "dicent" tank cover? Is that a new name brand for 2005?
Breath deeply and try typing slower.
