Good deal or not?
Hey all, this is my first post here.
Anyway, I just started playing paintball and I don't have a lot of cash for a new gun, but I'm tried of wasting money on the local field's rentals.
My friend is looking to sell his old marker (he just got a new/better one) and I was wondering if you guys had any opinions on the marker he's selling:
It's a Piranha STS 2k3, totally stock. Used for about a year. No damage that I could see except for a lot of wear marks/scrapes on the bolt. I haven't tested it myself yet but he says it works fine and I trust him.
He'll sell me the marker (with a barrel plug and stock parts/random other junk that came with it) for $125 Canadian. Without a hopper or tank.
Is this a good deal or should I just spend the cash and buy new?
Thanks.

Look here to get some $$ - How To Make Money!
I would recommend just getting a different gun. If it's totally stock and hes had it for about a year then its not worth $125. Look into maybe a Spyder... www.kingman.com

Not a good deal, especially if it doesn't include a hopper or anything, go to www.xpaintball.com they sponsor us so we kind of have to advertise for them, if we were allowed to post other sites I would give you some. PM me if you are really interested in other sites.

Thanks for the opinions guys.
Unless he's willing to come down a lot in price I'll buy new. How much do you think his gun is actually worth?

You guys know he's talking Canadian prices, right? $125 Canadian is like $70 U.S. money I think. Looking on EBay I saw Piranha STS 2k3's starting price at $70 U.S., so that is a good deal.
Ahmadi, if you have something you would like to add to a post of yours, please edit it. Making a new reply just to add a small line is stupid, and will clutter this members thread.

Actually, $70US = $87CDN. I just did the conversion myself.
I talked to the guy, and here's the new deal:
He'll give me the gun, stock parts, hopper, and buy me a (new) 12oz tank for $110CDN. A 12oz tank costs about $50 here.
Also note, he's had the gun for a year but only used it 5 times.
Now that sounds a lot better to me. Should I take it?

EDIT again: $125CAD does = $99.52USD, but $70USD = $88.00CAD. So if people think it's worth $70 (USD) to me that means it should equal $88 (CAD). Or maybe I'm still a dumbass.
Whatever though, I'm more interested in opinions on the new deal than debating over currency. And in that case, $110CAD = 87.46USD (if we're going to look at it that way).

Man... I live in Canada... 12oz tanks aren't NEAR $50... I bought my 20oz Co2 tank (for my tippy) for $20... don't do it.

Check the Badlands web site. they have 120z tanks listed as $39.99 CAD, but my local pro shop has them listed for $48.99(with pin valve).
the link I supplied updates the conversion rate, so it's pretty acurate.
