They aren't bad hoppers. They are agitating hoppers that only move the paintballs towards the feed tube. If you have a gun that can shoot more than 13bps, it might be too slow for it. They can only feed 13bps and less on blowback markers (spyders and spyder clones). If the gun you have has eyes, you can still get it but it will slow you down. Not bad, especially for the price I have seen them for on some sites.

what kind of gun? it is a ok hopper but if you plan to go to a high end gun later, you will need a faster hopper like a halo or reloader b. thats what i did, rather than get a revy or something for my RT on my 98C, I just spent the money to get a reloader b because i knew that i would get a new gun later that will need it.

if u dont want to spend 100+ tho for a better hopper look into Z-Board Eggs

Revvy's are the old standby when it comes to entry level hoppers. They are reliable, and easy to use. The new formulation of plastic tends to be somewhat brittle and can break at the feedneck or from a really close shot. However, you can get a used revvy for like $20 or so as opposed to the aforementioned halo or reloader B ($80-$110).

They run on 2 9v batteries and are workhorses. Great first hopper.

OK I appreciate all this info. I got a great deal on the feeder for 20 bucks, and it is going to be used on an Autococker 2004. So I just bought a new setup, and don't plan on buying a new gun for at least 3 years so this suits me fine.

That should do you just fine with a mech 'cocker...

The revvy with Xboard has eyes that sense if there is a ball in the feedstack, if not, it will agitate the balls in your hopper to feed. Works pretty well even with dark shelled paint.
