replace the power button on a halo B... "jaggy mod" w00t!

here is a little home brew "fix" I made for one of my loaders and a custom build (that means I took a bunch of spare parts) job I did for drktamer

Basicly anyone with a haloB has or will have soon a broken power "sticker" on the back plate of their loader. it just happens. So to fix that, I rounded up a couple of mouse tabs for IBM thinkpad laptops that I had laying around.
I used liquid electrical tape to secure mine. (tamer's was a one of a kind fix...)
here are some pics. mine first, then tamers.

It's stronger, more water resistant, and works great

You know, come to think of it Jaggy, I'm starting to become a guinea pig for your new stuff

hmm, very nice. Very similar to the mod i planned to duplicate off the nation using a playstation controller X button.

bobide, I am sure any rubber type button would work. I just used what I had access to.

also, off topic, but your sig drops the "f bomb"...

I've never heard of liquid electrical tape. Where can ya find it? Or is that a trick name for super glue?

I just took that little halo sticker off completely. The button sticks out a bit and you can press it, while that cover is now clear and looks pimp.

liquid electrical tape is the bomb!!! thats actually what it is. it ends up drying like a rubbery cover. kind of like the tool handle dip. The reason I choose it was so the button could be easily removed for service or upgrade.
It should be available at most hardware stores. (picked mine up at home depot)
its great for any underground or wet environments.

Thanks, dude. That's cool.
I might put a Playstation button on mine, or I have an old "Duke" XBOX controller that's busted. I could put a green skittle on it. Oohh, or an old Nintendo button. LOL
