I have a 2003 impulse and i was wondering if i should get a evlution II or a halo b. Pros and cons of each.

The Halo is generally better, except that it has problems seeing dark shelled or half-dark paints, sometimes, and may stop feeding if it doesn't "see" the gaps between the paint. If that gives you second thoughts, maybe look at an Empire Reloader B, which is maybe $15 more, but is sound activated instead.

halo's don't wait for a gap in the bals to start feeding, the eyes detect movement rather than a gap.

egg:

pros:
Easy to wipe hopper hits

Cons:
brittle plastic, breaks very often
SLOW, no matter what it wont feed over 14 bps, even with upgrade board
not true force feed (the reason it will not feed fast)
FUGLY
etc...

Halo:

Pros:

very hard and strong shells/plastic
EXTREMELY fast (clocked at 20+ BPS drop testing. Feeds even faster while on a gun since it uses spring tension to force balls into gun)
TRUE force feed
good looking
reliable
very thick feed neck, meant to be sanded to fit your gun or you can get an adjustable feed neck
will not jam unless using old paint
sensors in feed neck detect movement rather than a gap in the balls making feed rate much faster
upgrade board will feed 35 bps
uses AA's instead of 9v's (cheaper)

cons:
heavy
eyes can not see black or half black paint (keeps feeding)
does not work well with old paint
some guns can not withstand the force halos put on the ball while in the breech (angels)
not the best on batteries
expensive (worth the price 100% though)

I think you know what to get.

Zidane are you sure about it not feeding it over 14? i have shotten over 14 and it stayed with me

even the packaging says 17

100% sure. And viewloader exxagerates feed rate on all their products. Subtract about 2 or 3 from all their advertized feed rates.

I had a zboard with fresh duracell batteries in my old egg and it still wouldn't feed over 14. Basically all you're buying with an egg is a consistant revvy that holds a lot of paint.

and they don't work when on a gun. Belive me, I tried back when i had an egg. Then I said screw it and I forked out the cash for a zcode halo. I have yet to be dissapointed.

I didnt think it was all angels but aparently it is. But the halo forces te balls in too hard and causes double feeding or in some cases bends the sensi rod.

Halo b's can work on Speeds and A4's. People have gotten halo's to work on their lcds by getting a new detent though..I heard something like a new ball detent(cobra) has a 50% chance of working with halo b's, but i'm not positive.

The cobra detent Work on my ir3 with the halo B

i would go w/ the halo b b/c why risk the money on an egg, some people say they are good and some say something broke on their egg...its a 50/50 chance, why take the risk? go halo b
