OK, i think i found out why people chop with eggs. You know how eggs have the eye, and the impeller doesnt spin unles there are no balls in the feedneck? well, that meands the first 3 balls in the feedneck only feed as fast as gravity will pull them, but the rest are puched by the impeller. So, my theory is, that if u shoot the first 3 balls in a rope at around 12bps, then start firing faster, you wont chop. I have not tried this yet, but will tomorrow when i get air.

btw- i didnt steal this from the nation, i wrote it there then decieded to put it here too.

there is only one flaw in your theory in games people just dont limit themselves when they shoot

ya but when they stop shooting you'll get that on the first three balls. Another reason to get a halo b, its got the spring wound drive cone. So they spring puts force on the balls, so actually the first few feed fastest, until the spring is unwound and theres no more tension. From there the motor takes over and slowing down to let the spring catch up.

But if your theory was that the first few shots fed slow that wouldn't work out. Because when even part of the 3rd ball isn't sensed it will start feeding, so it all depends on the response time and the time it takes to feed from when it stops seeing the paintball.

yeah, theoretically it shouldnt matter. As soon as you fire one and the next one drops down it will spin, because the first 3 all drop at the same time, eye is no longer blocked, paddles spin. If you keep firing paddles keep spinning.

He means since the egg II feeds faster than gravity, when the first couple shots are fired at a slow ROF, the next balls coming in will be at a faster feed rate so it will be safe to increase the ROF without worrying about a chop.

but a soon as the frist ball starts to drop so does all the others in the feed neck b/c the laws of gravity there is nothing holding up the second and thrid balls they start to drop witch sets off the eye witch makes the egg spin. so u theory is completly rong

his theory isnt rong or wrong. Halos push the ball into the feedneck and eggs just move it into the feedneck, its a likely theory if the reaction time is slow enough and once it doesnt sense the third ball a fourth one is pushing it in from being fed, but I doubt that it has the reaction time that fast, which would make his theory true.

Actually 14, almost 15. A halo would be a good idea if you dont like this. Because the first shots feed the fastest. The thing with the Evo is that the reaction time from when it senses it isnt fast enough because of the design so the impellers wouldnt be feeding the balls pushing the other balls into the chamber. Its either halo or Egg with PDS if you want to shoot fast and not have chops.

this is near perfect, it just needs to say, just go halo. I like the fact your thinking tho creator of this thread (didnt see who it was). Most peeps here have problems with that.
