so what happens if you bolt is in upside down? Will the gun just not shoot?

also what good will come of cutting the bolt? I thought it was just cosmetic

If your botl is upside down, the airflow through the bolt will be blocked so you wont get anywhere near velocity.

Cutting the bolt is mostly cosmetic, but when you start adding up the weight of everything when you upgrade the gun, cutting the bolt makes a big difference with the 2-6 grams of weight you can shave off by cutting it.

You can cut it off with anything you want...Even a spoon if you wish.

You can cut all the way up to where the set screw threads start.

just cut it behind the set screw like demented said it might be a lot but if its behind the screw its fine

It puts compression on the spring inside the bolt which pushes ******ds on the ball bearing that fits into the recess on the pull pin. It's the complicated way of making somthing not complicated to hold it in.

These bolts were cut about 1/2" past the start of the threads because I am testing my bolt idea since I havn't made a prototype yet.

k thanks do i neeed to lube it, even if its delrin? because i think it scrapes on the outside

Do not lube delrin at all. It may scrape the side, but it's delrin.

I cut my botl with a dremmel, but only becaue i wanted ot learn how ot use it

those cutting disks are simply amazing!

so long as the threads still have something to hold onto you can cut i. I have most of the screw exposed, but ti's still got enough to hold the pin in.

and if you're wanting to dryfire, flip your bolt upside down it saves a butload of air(unless youre already running realyl low pressure, then i guess it doens't matter so much)
