got my gun back from having the trayless repaired by Greg today, and even though he said to not take it apart, naturally, I did. lol
I started to mill the inside of the frame to allow more room for the solenoid and wires to fit, and now, it fits just like a slightly oversized glove...LOTS OF ROOM! I took off about 1/4" total from the inside.
I also took off some towards the bottom of the trigger frame to allow the 12v batery and bord to fit straight up and give more room for wires.
Now for what this whole thread is about; Greg couldn't get the LED into the trayless plate because the wires were a bit too short, and I love my 3000mcd LED, so I decided to rerout it.
I drilled a 5mm hole almost all-the-way through the whole the back of the frame (from the front) and then finished it off with a 3mm hole. The LED fits in snugly and with the 3mm opening, lets the light out and not the LED.
I plan on doing this to my Zeni frame, bro's clamshell, and when I think of more stuff, i'll throw it on too. Maybe a touch on/off pad.
