Proud I'm a bushmaster owner
I just held an ion for the very first time and i gotta say there's nothing about it that I like. granted it wasn't aired up.
the stock trigger sucks, is barely adjustable, and it has so much sideplay i was afraid it would fall off. the composite shell offers no grip and feels uncomfortable.
the grips aren't comfortable either and it makes my hand position weird.
Opposed to my bushmaster, I can't see anything about it off hand that would make it "better" all i see is negative about it.

probably b/c u dont own it. if you owned and ion vs bushmaster u would probably say how u couldnt find a thing u like about the bushmaster. also ur use to the BM. but thats how it is for everyone and everything. they like there thing a lot more than competitors.
this isnt me saying i like ions more than bushmnaters either. ic ould care less.

Well, today I finally got to shoot my two newest guns, Nerve and a DM4(had them both for a while, just not had any time or air) and the nerve doesnt feel as good shooting as the dm4, but of course theirs major differences in the two. But they both shoot nice.

i've never held a borg before.
secretly, I'm hoping my bushy goes down tomorrow when I'm playing so that I can use the owners Excalibur. He;s done that few times for people, it's very sexy.
I'd also like to shoot a cocker sometime in my life, and an Alien as well. And we all know that any DM is great too.

i definitly like the feel of my promaster over that of trixs, shockers, and the ion. Haven't held the latest angels though....or a borg.

Having owned one and shot both. An ion is better than a bushy. But an ion is not better than a promaster. The trigger has a great feel stock. New feedneck, reg, and barrel and you're set. But then again that is a big investment. As for grips, I really don't notice.
Older borgs (05/04) are kinda backheavy but balance perfectly over the snatch grip. The 06s are a lot more evenly weighted and they weigh only slightly more than an invert mini (invert is 1.99 lbs with everything stock, borg is just over 2lbs).

while i respect your opinion i still don't like them. i mean..when it takes reading the user manual to find the eyes and bolt that's never good. I did however get my roomates trigger adjusted better tonight and while i still don't' feel it's as good as my bushy trigger. Maybe it's the fact that it magnetic returned that just doesn't mesh with me very well.

I understand what you mean. But you could say the same thing with the user manual about a DM or PM.
You can't lie, for the price, ions are good. But their noid is a joke.

that and it scares the crap out of me pulling the board/noid out in order to get to the bolt. since my roommate got his for $150 brand new i congratulated him. it's a better backup than my BKO at least.

Yea, but there are aftermarket bodies where you can just take it out. But for the most part I agree. And for the price they pretty much can't be beat.

no... i own an ion. hate it. used to own a bushy. loved it.
but there is some truth that ions are best bang for the buck. Picked mine up for 140 with qevs, feedneck, trigger, and on/off.
