Promaster Acceptable Air Systems

Alright, if this is a noob question, oh well, better to ask than do and potentially screw up my Promaster

I have an ICD Promaster with a DYE ASA and a Shocktech Rail (I dont really know what the Rail is, it came with the gun and was described like that)

Here's a cut from the spec sheet (bought it from a friend who laid out the specs for me)

Low pressure operation: 250-300psi nominally adjusted via the gauge on the primary regulator
Threaded low rise vertical feed tube
Adjustable balls per second
Semi auto firing mode
12 inch ported barrel with autococker/timmy threads
Delrin bolt
Low profile
Uses a single 9 volt battery for operation

My question is if it would be possible to hook up a 20oz C02 tank to this gun via an air regulator and a remote coil? I've heard about liquid C02 seeping in and damaging the solonoid (or something), but I guess I cant really grasp the severity

The reason for the C02 tanks is that I am on a bit of a tight budget, and dont think a 72ci N2 tank is in the picture

Thanks!

Teh severity is that you blow out the solenoid and it costs you $40 to repair it plus shipping time. thsi can happen on the very first shot with co2; it's not a gradual thing.

You need a compressed air tank. The remote line could work thouhg, if it's long enough and if youre' willing to take that risk. The longer the line, the better though because liquid co2 has mroe of a chance to expand in a longer line.
