BKO Question
Im looking to get a 2004 BKO. I was wondering what are some of the good things about it and if there is any bad things, such as things i would have to replace when i got it such as a new barrel? Also is it a very complex gun? So if i needed to disassemble it, would it be hard?

I personally dont own an 04' but from my use and insight of them they have basically the same setup as my 02' (duh);
With any gun a new barrel is always a good first thing to get being that the stock ones usually suck. There isnt really any bad things that come stock on an 04' from what ive seen/heard but there are always the things to upgrade reg, board, trigger..etc etc. BKO's arn't very complex as long as you have common sense. Flip switch and voila! ...right now for disassebling it. The best way to figure out how your gun works..is by first hand account. Even though its good to find out how your gun works just dont try and tear apart your whole gun the first day...or week. Dont fool with the board too much like any other comp board your oils can screw up the circuitry. But once you get the gun apart you basically know can tell what does what. So to quell your fears..no its not hard to disassemble.
But overall a very good choice in a next gun. I know a guy with one and he loves it.
and now for the next ICD guru to give more insight.

Well to be honest doesnt every gun chop without an eye? As long as you arent firing over the cap of the gun or the cap of the hopper there wont be problems, if the gun stops at 15 bps but your pulling 17 there will be problems, its how you shoot the gun. BKO's are known to be great guns in the category tho.

I own an 04 and let me say this is the best marker I've owned. First off you will need a halo. Then upgrade what you can. Not a real complex gun to own and easily taken apart.

yeah im gettin a BKO too.
it said its a LP gun on the ICD site (ICDpaintball (dot) com) i think it said it was a 200-270 or 400-470... can i run HP into it or should i use LP? (crossfire tank most likely). today playing paintball this guy had a 04 BKO and he had a LP crossfire and it was shootign down on him. it was only getting 200psi or something. (i duno) i think he just didnt have enough air.
so HP or LP tank? (gettin' stubby 70-72 ci. 4500 psi.

if you are going from a spyder imagine to a bko you will be very happy. i just got my bko 2 weeks ago and was using a dragun tes... the difference was unreal. my stock bko is far better then my up'ed tes and i won't go back to a sear tripper again.

well the obvious upgrade would be a barrel. then from there read what the others who know say to get if you can afford it.

They're the same speed, they both cap at 13 bps, the LCD is very adjustable. I take it you're talking about the TSA, you might as well save up 20 bucks and buy a used halo B.
PBall4sissies- buy a HP tank, I dont even know why LP exists, but your gun will work fine on HP.

I would never say an egg is worth the money, but if you want something faster you could get an egg.

from my experience with my gun it hasnt chopped a ball yet but i dont shoot 18 bps, i shoot more like 10-12. My hopper is slow but it keeps up (ricochet 2k) First upgrade i got was a new regualtor. It helped alot over the stock one.
