I'm New to ICD... Can I Get Some Info?
Hello all. I'm pretty new to paintball in general and I hear that the overall consensus is that ICD markers are better than cockers. It really has intrigued me very much as to why that is and I am eager to learn the gist about the entire ICD lineup. I currently have three lower-end markers (as you can see in my sig) and I intend on making a higher-end marker purchase in the future. If any of you would kindly fill me in on the differences between their different models and makes I'd greatly appreciate it. Also, I'd like to find out what you all personally think is the better ICD marker. A BKO or Bushmaster? I'm trying to get a real good feel of ICD markers so I can see if there is a justification as to why they are better than cockers. If all the hype of ICD markers are really what it comes up to, I'll keep in mind about investing in one of them instead of a cocker. Thanks again for any future assistance.

The most honest answer I can give is it depends on what kind of ball you play. I myself am mostly a woodsballer. For me the obviouschoice is the BKO...now I'll tell you why.I play once every two weeks in a woodsball game with a bunch of guys from work. Were not shooting 22bps in the woods, It's more a stealth game for us. I previously owned a B2K 2nd gen but wanted a new marker. I decided That the bko was perfect for me by it's cheap price and I wanted to stay with an ICD gun because my bushy had treated me good. If your more a speedball guy then a B2k4w/pds is def the gun for you. If you play lots of tourneys get the freestyle. I'm not saying that I would perfer my BKO to Freestyle (after all I'm not retarded but price was a big factor in my desicion.

Hm. Well, the Bushmaster w/ PDS(paintball detection system..the eye for ICD markers) is the best between a Bushy and BKO. The BKO is just cheaper then a bushy, has a 2 way noid instead of 4, and you have to buy the eye sepperate. Both are good, both are fast, one if cheaper(BKO) and one is a little faster(Bushy) And i can coem with an eye.(bushy)
i hope that helped. If it different im sorry im stupid. ^_^;

Well at least I have a good idea of what I have in store for myself. Since I'm still fairly new to the sport, it'll only be a matter of time before I decide which ICD marker I want. Who knows? I might actually participate competitively.

B2ks are better markers than the BKO, but they also cost more. You can play anything with either gun. Go to your local field and see if anyone has an ICD marker that you could use for a game or two and see which one you like best.

bko's are the cheaper version of the bushys. bko's have a 2 way noid instead of a 4.
the bushys w/ pds are teh best between the two. theres also the freestyle which beats both, but is almost twice the price. the b2k4 w/ pds is ur best bet.

Nice info.. Now.. WHAT THE HECK DID YOU SAY?
I'm sure what you said is very informative, however, to a person that has only owned sear trippers that was completely over my head. And try to spell check, roughly.

Well I do get the gist of what mehdiballer was trying to say as I have read up on the ICD markers but to others reading this thread who was/is in the same position I'm in may not understand. Please explain further about the two-solenoid system in the BKO versus the four-solenoid system in the B2k. Oh and yes I know what PDS (Paintball Detection System) is.
I'm pretty certain I'll be going with the 2004 B2K but before that I want to be sure I get a good HPA tank. I was thinking of getting a 68/4500 ci. Care to throw some good quality names out there for me?

Yes, the trigger is adjustable too so it should be easier to walk upon your own settings.
The bps you can hit with the PDS is pretty much how fast ur hopper can load. (and how fast u can shoot)
Personally, i think if you want to save some money, get the B2k, but if you want the higher end marker, (and have $$$) go for the matrix.

Eh, I think the B2K is high-end enough for me. I don't know if I really want to spend more than that on a brand new marker... that is unless I somehow find $1000 somewhere.

BPS is pretty unlimited when you have PDS. Bushys are real easy to walk, and you can customize the trigger with a 2 screw adjustment. You will basically never need PDS if you have a halo, so you can just go cheaper and buy a Halo. With a chaos board the BPS is capped at 24, and I think its unlimited with PDS. I doubt you'll ever reach it or need to go that much, the main thing about the chaos is its really responsive, the time between when you pull the trigger and a ball comes out of the barrel is shorter with chaos.

I'm curious but does anyone have a flash diagram of how a BKO and B2K4 works? Thanks.
