I havent ever lubed my bolt, since its delrin. You just whipe it off when you chop and thats it. You do hafta lube the ram though. I use silicone lube for that, and it works for me.

you could do that even though it does nothing for your bolt. If you have a stock reg thats what you need to oil. Just put 1 drop of oil in the ASA before each day of play and it'll keep your stock reg nice and consistant.

well actually, it does do something for your bolt... breaks it... lol if you oil delrin, it will more than likely swell... and there's no way to make it "unswell" so i really would not suggest oiling your bolt delrin is what you would call "self-lubing"... its slick, so there's already very little friction with the metal of the body... now if you just don't want to listen to the wise *EM1-Master*, go ahead and lube it with dow 33... won't hurt it at all... but won't really help it at all... while you're at it, lube the reg and the ram too oh and to lube the ram, just rub lube on any part of the ram that moves and touches metal have a good day/night/week/month/year/decade/life!!!

to be more specific...
Lubing teh Ram:
on the bottum tube in the back of your body is a knob and unscrew (the whole thing) and take it out but you have to pull the pin because it wont come out if you dont the bolt pin and then put hard because its got o-rings so it may feel like its stuck but isnt there should be 3 oring and a shaft lookinh thing...

that pretty much sums up the rest :-D

It doesn't swell, that was all some stupid myth. But its still useless to oil it. The things you should oil are the reg and the ram like you said. Basically just lube anywhere there's an o ring and you'll be fine.

its a myth that delrin swells? no, its the truth... delrin DOES swell... depending on the oil you use, you might use one that doesn't cause it to swell... Gold Cup does NOT cause it to swell, but thats the ONLY one that i can guarentee doesn't cause swelling... its happened to me and many other spyder em1 owners... we took our bolt out to oil it, and found that it was too big to fit in the tube afterwards.... delrin CAN SWELL... you can make the gamble if you want, but seriously, why not just use dow on the ram and leave the bolt alone... take the bolt out and look thru the upper tube... do you see ANY scratching due to the bolt? no, you don't... i hate to repeat myself, but: delrin is "self-lubricating"... its slick, so there's already very little friction with the metal of the body...
and don't just lube where there's o-rings.... lube ANYwhere metal moves against metal...

use vaseline to lube your bolt...I just put it on my hand and start rubbing the bolt and it works and does no damage to the bolt.Yes I know that didn't sound very um....right.
