weird ass sound

so after about 10 months of having my defiant something finally pooped out. I took it out to shoot today and after a little trouble adjusting the regs and getting it not to leak I started getting this terrible sound. Like a metal on metal sound, and the gun vibrated a lot when it happened. It sounded more like it was being forced than if it was shooting smoothly, like a loose oring or something being forced with the ram. It sounded like a retarded duck trying to quack. I don't know how to explain this so I'll stop.

No its not I sweetspotted the regs, and I turned it so it just barely cocked. Besides, it would start leaking if I got the reg going that high.

maybe not the ram but the actual valve itself is out of place, try seeing if it is closer to the ram then it should be cause it can make that CLACK CLACK CLACK of metal hitting. another then to check is the ram itself on the inside, make sure its clean and there isnt any dirt or anything in there. anothering thing might be the regs are vibrating, i dont know why it does this but the spring back pressure of the coil might be to heavy. i would go over the gun, clean it, lube it, tune it again, then try again with air.

Ya I just did that. And yes it shoots properly, just makes an evil sound. I think it was my paint. It was some company called Ink'd, and I was shooting it in a .692, and the paint was around .698 or something, it was hella big but it would never break in my barrel. So I think it was the sound of my bolt forcing insanely big paint through a small barrel.
