Mini problem please help (letting air out)

Me and my friend both bought our minis at the same time. We both bought it at a paintball store and when we went to set it up both of them were letting air out. As soon as you put the nitrogen tank on the mini it starts letting air out. We than let the guy fix it for us and he opened it up and played with it got it fixed. Now my friend went to indoor paintball arena and payed $50 enterence fee and for the balls when the same thing happened. Needless to say he is pissed that he wasted $50 and wants to return the gun tomorrow. Do you guys know what this could be..the mini just lets out air as soon as you put the tank on. The guy told us that it was strange that both of our brand new minis had problems like that. Any suggestions on what it could be and how to fix it.

a store charged you to repair a marker that was brand new? that's just dirty. They also should have showed you what they were doing so if it happened agian, you'd know what to do.

where is it leaking from? what are your regulators set at?

You did not mess with the gun in any way before airing it up?

maybe i wasnt clear enough i am sorry. He fixed it for us for free...both of the guns were leaking air through barrel and they were brand new out of the box...atleast i hope they were.... but than next day we went to a indoor paint ball place and my friend payed $50 to play in indoor field ... When he tried to set up the gun it started leaking air through the barrel again and he couldnt fix it. so needless to say he was pissed at the fact that he payed 50 dollars and couldn't even play.

do spool valve markers have cupseals? if so, that's definitely your problem.

I could be way off but could it be the poppet no being set? Try cranking down the Velocity adjuster all the way snug but not tight. and back it out about 1 - 1 1/4 turns see if that does anything. Cant hurt.

What was involved in this "cleaning"?

The Mini isn't a spool valve.

Try this, I bought mine a couple of days ago and there was a large card in the box telling me to do that if it leaked initially.
