Guys,
I recently got a mini and when I fired a bunch of paint through it initially, it shot ropes..I was extremely impressed.

About 1 week later I played and it was about 40-45 degrees out, foggy, slight drizzle at times, but nothing crazy. After my first hopper, it chopped balls continuously throughout the day and I had to hang it up.

Last week...35 degrees out...first hopper was incredible...then...same thing... Paintball place said the paint is too cold. I use a Spyder Fasta hopper with it and I'm starting to think it's a rate of fire/ hopper feed problem?

Is there any basic tests or procedures you guys recommend that I could start with to kinda figure out what the issue may be?

1st: Break in your spring. Look in my sticky on how to do that.

2nd: Your paint is probably too cold, along with the barrel. I had a tourny last year where this happend to my team. Luckily we had a military tent and a stove and guess what? We took first that tourny cause we could shoot hellfire all day, and the other teams shot soup.

3rd: Although the fasta hopper isnt too bad, and upgrade to a vlocity pry wouldnt hurt. Vlocity jrs are great hoppers that can be upgraded to a full vlocity later on if money is tight right now. Honestly though, your mini has eyes for a reason. You should eb able to use a grav feed hopper and be fine.

All in all it is pry the cold. Paintball guns just dont perform in cold. If you can take your gun and fire some shots indoors and see if it is still doing it. Play a game of paintball at an indoor field if you have one close nearby. Also make sure the gun is cleaned out of any debris's and that the eyes are clean and you have a fresh, good quality battery in the gun and hopper

It is pretty hard to accidentally turn the eyes off on the gun given you have to turn the gun off and hold the trigger to turn the eyes off. Just take Evolkers advice, I have nothing more to add to it.
