grips and triggers

so of course now that i have a mini i need to do some work on it, and the first two things on the chopping block are the grips and trigger, for grips i am mainly looking for something that will be thinner than the stock ones, i am trying to slim down the grip frame (i am used to the UL and have some nice thin grips on my cocker as well) I am looking around the net and of course can not find any such info on weather or not grips are thinner than stock

and next up is the trigger, i forgot the name of it its either sling or rake that i am looking for, again, whichver the stock dm6 trigger is is what i am looking for thats what i am used to and like the most. something roller bearing to hopefully eliminate slop and of course adjustable. I found a CP that looked pretty good but could not tell if it was adjustable or not from the photos, any comments would help there

and one more question, how do you get the stock trigger out? i was looking at that the other day but didnt want to try and force that pin that holds it in out unless i knew that is how it worked

I was trying to find some thin grips too buy most were about the stock's thinkness.
Kee Action SportsInvert Mini Trigger
This trigger was said to be pretty good but havent tried it myself.

And about the pin, yes you have to force it out, very small screw driver and lightly hammer it out. Just remember which way it goes it.

Anything made by Empire or Invert for grips will be the same as stock
Might want to go Lexan for thin stuff

As for triggers, CP and Critical make them too

ya i was thinking about the lexan, i had some grips made for my cocker that i like, but my concern is that i will need something rubber to hang on to, the cocker is nice and balanced because of the drop forward, not possible with the mini, its always going to be back heavy

You could always go super thin lexan, and then use that rubber spraypaint stuff?
Just gotta rough up the lexan so the rubber doesn't peel off to easy

Or maybe just wrap the grips with grip tape?

hmmm, a little on the ghetto side but perhaps i could mask off some of the grips to make a bit of a design huh? know how well the spray paint would stick to the lexan?

o man, if i could have some aluminum diamond plate cut then sprayed that would be sick

As long as you rough it up, it should work fine for a while, though it will eventually rub off with heavy use

And I LIVE for ghetto!
I try and save as much money as possible for almost everything

o btw, i completed the touchforce mod today, works ok, i had to buy 2 switches from radioshack though since the first one broke sometime during install. only issue with it is it depends on the distance from the switch to the ball that is chambered, if it is just right the mod works, if it is wrong the motor keeps spinning, so i know i can chop the neck to get it just right but then the hopper would be limited to be used on the marker that i modded it for

As long as the switch is bent right and is long enough, there shouldn't be a problem

ya i think the length is the problem, i bent it around today while modding, sometimes it would always be feeding and other times once paint got on it it would stay there, everything eles in the raceway would fall down and thats all it would feed since the switch was depressed it would not feed anymore

not sure what to do about it yet, any ideas? this is probably the most ghetto home brew thing i have done yet, most my mods are products or custom order not home made

I love taking my ghetto home brew mods and stuff, having it work amazing, and have people ask about it

If you're asking about the hopper, just gotta mess with the bend shape

If for the grips, then the rubber spray or tape is all I got

Maybe engrave a checker pattern into them?

You could just get an untra fine sharpie pen, a ruler to make straight lines, and one of those super thin saws to cut the patter in... unless that's too ghetto for you...

my concern with that is its going to take a few tries to get right and tries with diamond plate = $$

i was wondering if i could find one on the net somewhere, at any rate i want to find prices on diamond plate first, and i would like to find some screws that would sit more flush if possible if i were useing some thin plate. any ideas on that?

Drill appropriate size hole in lexan for screw, then find a super big drill bit to kinda ream out the small hole and make a beavel
Find flat headed screws and you're gold
