Hay guys sow i just bougt a new ion for a while and ive shot it many times and played a couple games with it but now whenever i shoot it paint starts leaking out. this is quite troublesom because i spend alot of money on it

help me plz!

dude, check ur internals. Make sure ur hoses dont have paint in them. If they don't make sure u dont have a scratch in ur barrel that is slicing the ball and letting paint drip out.

If u dry fire and paint comes out, its ur internals
If u shoot paint and paint drips out, it could be ur barrel or ur chamber that is cutting the ball.

im kinda nervous about owpening my gun because the last gun i had when i opened it i lost a couple springs and stuff but it was a n00by tippman and i guess thats why

yeah, but if ur gonna play with and ion, ur gonna have to open it up eventually (for cleaning the bolt and whatnot) its pretty messy inside, because ions are exactly the definition of quality (no offense)

I'm not sure what you mean by "paint leaking out," but if you mean paint rolls out of the barrel, check your detents.

sry i dont know alot whats a detend

and the paint drips out its kind a disgusting even when i have the gun in my backpack it leaks and gets everywhere its kind of distugsting

Well if paint is literally dripping out of your gun, I don't think you've been maintaining your gun at all. Have you lubed the bolt or reg or anything recently? If you think you're not ready to do something like this and you're not experienced enough, then take it to the local shop and either have them do it or have them teach you.

A detent essentially keeps the paintball from rolling out of the barrel.

i havent opened it since ive bought it, lol

do shops charge for a basic oil/lube? i don't have alot fo money right now

They probably will.

Maybe if you take it to the store you bought it in (if you bought it in a store) they'll show you....

But you really need to learn how to do this stuff, otherwise you're not really ready for a marker like the Ion which needs to be cared for.

mmkay well i had my brother open it up just njow (hes kind of a mechanic) and its literally filled iwth broken paint and shells, what do i do to relube it?

That sounds like too much of a job to describe online. Just take it to the local Proshop.

This, and the fact that you've said that you run your marker off of Co2, the solenoid could be fried, or just the marker altogether.

I think you may need to re-examine yourself as an electronic gun owner.

Seriously, for the life of this poor mistreated and overrated Ion, take it to the local Proshop. It may be this beaten marker's last lifeline.

It obviously isn't getting any TLC from its owner.

omg, u need to learn ur gun. If u have paint all over ur gu, u need serious help. If u get paint on ur board ur screwed, u have to buy a new board which will be $$$ and it sounds like u got no dough, especially considering u bought an ion (which don't kid urself, they are cheap as hell)

the co2 is fine, my friend runs his dm3 on it lol and nobody says anything and hes shot with it like that for a year and a half now
