{{{{{{best Regulator And Board?????}}}}}}
I finally have money to get a couple more upgrades for my ion. I want to get a regulator and board...because i already have everything else .
I was wondering what would be the best regulator and board to get. i dont wanna blow all my money tho so something good yet not the most expensive is better.
thanks.

i don't think they are even close as the spitfire board(thats what the lucky board is called). the lucky board comes with a hard noid and no wires on the noid, metal bearins/w/e they are called

ya, no clue on the Reg ...but the board i'd have to agree with the Gangsta baby right there that board has probably the easiest disassemble and shoots great with the non wired. Then again theres like a thousand boards (Virtue APE Rampage Blackheart ((I think)) )

lol thanks, there is also the predator board and the musashi board, if i didn't get the spitfire board i'd go with the predator, i heard the tadao musashi isnt all the great then the stock one, i heard it was pretty much a black heart, so just go with the spitfire.

I had heard they had a board but i never looked into it. Im sure its great but i was going off the ones i knew (virtue, raider, etc.). I know damon is a great guy at scenerion dreams.
For the reg i know alot of old school ballers who like the AKs but i never even seen one. In person or in a magazine. The CPs are commonly used by top pros and i put one on my ION and i was surprised by the performance increase.

As for the reg I would say..... keep the stock one. The stock reg has a perfectly good recharge rate, I get +/- 2 fps with mine (and everyone i know that has one gets similar numbers). It is a little bit heavy though, mind you their just vanity ounces lol.

+/- 2 huh? Allot ofpeople get different performance. Mine is +/- 10 and when its cold or the weather is out of funk then its like +/- 15, if i remember correctly. But when its nice it tightens to around +/- 5 or 7

wow... maybe myself and everyone i know has just gotten lucky lol.
seriously though, the ion reg is probably one of the best regs that smart parts has ever made. The new NXT's all come with what is essentially an Ion reg and the only reason (i think anyways) that Ion regs got a bad rep was because of some manufacturing problems early on when they were trying to crank them out really fast and the fact that they are the reg for the Ion, so people see it as a low quality reg. They really are decent regs though, at least in my experience.

Honestly that kind of inconsistancy sounds like inconsistant paint sizes to me. Or the gun is really new and isn't broken in yet. I guarantee the ion reg if properly maintained and broken in, is not at fault.
I say keep the reg that is on it. The only reg that will truly get you better performance would be a CP. But it is not enough to really notice. Honestly everyone in here will say "the ion reg is crap". But most of them have too much money and really don't know what they are talking about.

these people are just whiners that are trying to justify their $60-$100 reg purchase.

lol, i think i might have worded it incorrectly.
When i chrono, my average will be like 280 bit it will dip down to 275 or go up to 285, is that +/- 10 right or +/- 5.

That's +/- 10, and once broken in, most ions get WAY better consistancythan that. With the stock reg, I get +/-2 w/ good barrel match and good paint. Very often I get three 295's in a row, the stock reg is that good.

My ions reg sucked, i think, i can't remember. But the lucky spitfire board is the best by far for the ion. The aka 2 liter would be the best reg, but a cp will do you just fine.

I say keep the Stock Reg and in my opinion the APE rampage board is best on the market right now.
Here is a comparison of all the lead boards on the market.

Hope this helps.

i could very well be wrong but wouldnt it be +/- 5? 280+5=285
280-5=275 range of 10, 275-285
