Ion Feed Necks

Everyone is always baggin on the ion feedneck. Is it really something to worried about and put as number one priority or jus an upgrade i should get when i get some money. I have like 50 -60 bucks to put into my gun from christmas money. QEV is one of the first, I want to get the all american barrel system that i found for lik 50 bucks. People tell me to upgrade the bolt instead, but if the feedneck is really that much of a problem i might as upgrade that.
FEEDBACK PLEASE.

yeah, they are a little to small for some hoppers and you can't adjust them, not to mention they get ovally and stuff.

It depends really on the size of your hopper and if it fits, then thats nice. I would strongly recomend getting a feed neck first, it just makes things easier ( you know not worring if its in or other stuff) If you want to get one, get a low-rise feedneck it gets an inch or so off of yourself as a target.

If you've ever had a marker with a feedneck like the stock one on Ions, you'd know why a clamping neck is recommended so much. Trust us.

And the AA barrel isn't a system. It's just a two piece barrel. And I wouldn't exactly recommend it as a barrel upgrade. The Freak can be considered a system because it has different inserts.

Some first upgrades should be a feedneck (Q-Lok), QEV, trigger (preferance, I like Scythe style triggers), and a bolt.

^ yep. and remember, performance upgrades > looks upgrades. so dont drop $150 on that newfangled all matching body kit without a decent barrel or qev.

I say go for the Q-Loc. It's really the best design and easiest to work with. If not, then go for a CCM No-Rise.

^i have a CCM no-rise (the second smallest one) and it works fine in a halo, and holds the halo feedneck in it.

When I had my halo TSA I had no prob with the feedneck but when I got my Halo B the hopper was hard to get in the feedneck then it was in there for a couple days and I wasn't sure if I was going to get it out or strip the threads in my gun. Thats when I decided it was time to get a new feedneck

Yeah I still have to buy a Q-Loc because before I got an Ion I thought My Halo B would fit with no problem, but it didn't. But I do have a question is the Halo B easy to get in to the Q-Loc and does it stay in tightly when you want it to stay in. Just need a little product review before I get it.

Any loader will fit in any clamping neck. That's why they're made, to fit all loaders.

The Q-Loc will hold the Halo perfectly and easily. The design is like the handle bars on those Razor Scooters, with the handle. I recommend it.
