Exclamation Please help me!!!

I have an SP Ion with one of the older MaxFlos. I just had my 47/3000 tank filled at my local shop. I shot about 20 or 30 balls through it, and then I took it over to my friend's house. He noticed that my tank was extremely low. We dry-fired the gun about 10 times and it stopped shooting. I took off my tank (which was abnormally easy to screw off) and, sure enough, it was empty. So that's like a total of 30-40 shots on a 47/3000 tank.... doesn't seem right, huh? Does anyone have any suggestions as to whatswrong with my tank/MaxFlo/gun??

Thanks.

Oh, I almost forgot. I just bought this gun from a friend and he never had any problems with it. this is my frist time using a MaxFlo or even an electronic gun so I know next to nothing.

One of your hoses is broke or leaking, or an o-ring in the bolt is leaking but you should have noticed a leak and if you didnt its pry a small leak in the hoses. Get your hoses changed.

Deos the max flo have an on/off? cause if it deos (which it should) then the tank should be realyl easy to take off.

Yes it has an on/off, but the maxflo is not only the ASA but also the tank's reg. If the tank is filled, you can't unscrew the tank from the reg. it's only easy to unscrew if it is empty.

The old max flows are ment to be atached to the tank with LOCT TITE and the fact that you can unscreww your tank means that it might not have been installed correctly. So it was leaking even as it was filled.

go to your proshop and have them put some lock tite on there and be sure that the tank is not unscrewing from the max-flo next time you take it off the marker...

that can be pretty dangerous - but yea, that sounds like the reason it's probably leaking - if you want you can go to smartparts.com and look for the max-flo manual, which will tell you how to dismantle it if you decide you need to in order to make sure there are no problems with the o-rings...

if you're afraid of doing this, again - i'm sure the people at your proshop will when they put on the lock tite... but it'll probably cost a few bucks for the time and o-rings (if that is the problem). unless you know the people there...

but i've never had anybody charge me for lock tite, so i wouldn't worry about getting charged for that...

my max-flo is at the shop, getting fixed. it aparrently just some old o-rings that need replacement. as for the whole tank thing... i really dont think its supposed to be lock-tited on. here's a pic of the max-flo just to make sure were all talking about the same thing-
