Ok, so I bought an Ion on ebay, and i've had it for about a month now. I havent got a chance to take it to the field yet, but I'm planning on going pretty soon. I need to know how to change the velocity. I knew you change the fps using the regulator when you have the stock reg, but the ion i bought has an aftermarket reg and i dont know what kind of reg it is. i'll attach a pic to see if anyone can figure out the type of reg it is. anyways, are regulators usually the source of the velocity changer??

i hope that made at least some sense.

Is there a screw on the side of the reg? If there is nothing on the reg than you have to do it with your max flo, but im not very good with max flos so i wouldnt touch it untill someone else says so who is better with them.

the upper part is a volume chamber

the part that your going to adjust for the velocity is the maxflow reg down near the bottom of the grip frame.

i no the reg is a volume chamber, im talking about what kind of brand/model the vertical regulator is.

so u change the velocity with the max-flo??

ok, i read that whole thing (which was very helpful since mine was leaking) but it never said anything about changing the velocity. and if it did, i apologize for being blind.

Well, once again, im not an expert with max flos but i beleive you do this...

1 gauge is input pressure, and the other is output. So increase your output pressure to the reg and it should raise you velocity. Im not 100% sure on this but thats how i think it works.

Also the input is the same as your tank presure

Use the adjustment knob. 1st remove the set screw then use the knob.Screw it in for lower pressure out for higher.

There should be a max flo manual on here somewhere. Th eold one and not the new one. But anyways there should be a set screw (hex screw) that keeps you from adjusting a knob. Undo the set screw and turn it and watch your pressure go up on the output gauge. Maybe i will try to find the manual somewhere.
